Dracula: A Love Tale (2025) dir. Luc Besson
“I didn’t need you to fix me. I needed you to love me while I fix myself.”
— Michelle K.
Conrad Veidt (January 22, 1893 - April 3, 1943)
"Goebbels had imposed a "racial questionnaire" in which everyone employed in the German film industry had to declare their "race" to continue to work. When Veidt was filling in the questionnaire, he answered the question about what his Rasse (race) was by writing that he was a Jude (Jew). Veidt was not Jewish, but his wife was Jewish, and Veidt would not renounce the woman he loved. Additionally, Veidt who was opposed to anti-Semitism wanted to show solidarity with the German Jewish community, who were rapidly being stripped of their rights as German citizens in the spring of 1933. As one of Germany's most popular actors, Veidt had already been informed that if he was prepared to divorce his wife and declare his support for the new regime, he could continue to act in Germany. Several other leading actors who had been opposed to the Nazis before 1933 switched allegiances. In answering the questionnaire by stating he was a Jew, Veidt rendered himself unemployable in Germany, but stated this sacrifice was worth it as there was nothing in the world that would compel him to break with his wife...
...He had long been known in German theatrical circles as a staunch anti-Nazi. His activities came under the scrutiny of the Gestapo, and a decision was made to assassinate him. Veidt found out about the plot, and managed to escape Germany before the Nazi death squad found him."

BTS of ‘Doctor Strange’
Benedict Cumberbatch and Ralph Fiennes will star a new Netflix project about Roald Dahl series.
The adaptations of Roald Dahl's books by Netflix are some of the most eagerly anticipated shows on TV.
"(Benedict) will play the title role in The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar And Six More, a collection of Dahl’s short stories. It will also star Ben Kingsley."
“This was already a huge project for Netflix but it’s set to gain even more attention thanks to these signings. They’re the calibre of actors who add credibility to any project.”
True Detective S01E05 “The Secret Fate of All Life“
Have seen this pic from Captain America with Steve's "to do" list and the fact that BBC Sherlock is canon in MCU gave me an idea.
I need a moment in Doctor Strange in which Agent Everett Ross comes to Stephen and says something like "Are you that guy, from that detective...what's his...oh, sounds like cucumber...he played Sherlock...you know" and EVERYONE in the room just "oooooooh, you're right"
