A selfie right after a cervical disc fusion at the University of Utah hospital. Thank you Dr. Lawrence, but you failed to speak with my husband following my being decapitated. Your mentor, Dr. Alpesh Patel was far less antisocial. After my first fusion, he ran to the waiting room to speak with my husband and let him know what happened during the surgery. Warm, social, on point. Always.
