Grace giving Simon the choice to stay or go to Earth after the Eridians fix the Hail Mary and Simon takes the ship back. He doesn’t want to leave Grace, it’s breaking his heart to, but he can’t help how much every fiber of his being wants to see Earth, just once. It’s all he’s ever wanted.

Then one day, years later, Simon comes back. Grace and the Eridians are shocked that he’s back cause how and more importantly why? Then Simon explains that when he landed, everyone was hesitant to trust him since the Hail Mary came back without any of the original crew, but Stratt was called in to verify Simon’s story through Grace’s logs and she vouched for him.

Grace asks him why he’s back and Simon tells him because he missed him and wouldn’t have been able to forgive himself if he had left Grace alone and he’d never have to worry about that again. Just as Grace smiles and starts to say something back-

Eridians come rushing into the biodome saying that there are multiple blips popping up all around Erid and they all seem to be on the same frequency as the Hail Mary. Simon looks toward Grace, proudly, but it falters when Grace just looks back at him in utter horror.

And then Earth proceeds to do what it will always do…

‘Grace and Rocky find Simon floating in space and bring him home with them’

‘Eridians hear a heartbeat in space and bring their second human home to their first human’

‘Meet-cute, meet-ugly, hahaha’

How about…

Simon whose served his time and is now working with the COI finds Grace floating in space while waiting for Rocky to wake up after saving his life and brings him back to the station.

How about…

Simon who takes advantage of Grace’s emotional state to hear stories about earth and this amazing adventure he and Rocky have been on.

How about…

Simon and the COI keeping Grace and Rocky apart until Grace tells them everything he knows about getting to earth and where the closest civilization (Eridi) is.

How about…

Simon not wanting to lose this new light, dimmed but still bright, so even after the COI decides maybe Grace doesn’t actually know anything, cause who hasn’t heard about the Rapture, and lying to keep Grace there with him.

Am I the only one who thinks that Simon and Grace would actually fuck nasty when they finally confessed to each other?

Like Grace has a more introverted personality until you get to know him. And Simon has been alone pretty much all his life and when he was around people he was restricted in what he was allowed to do and express.

I think Simon would go a little nuts actually being allowed to express himself around someone who accepted that he was a flawed person but ultimately just wanted connection. Grace would let him do whatever he wanted because he just wants Simon to have whatever he wants and because he knows that Simon taking what he wanted doesn’t mean that Simon is putting himself above Grace’s wants. He trusts Simon to know what’s too far and to give Grace the time he needs to establish boundaries if needed.

Anyway, I also just think it would be funny to imagine how Rocky would react to walking in on them because you know this sentient rock ain’t knocking. He’s Grace’s best friend and there are no locked doors between friends.

When they finally reach that hurdle in their relationship-

They are both touch starved for another human but Simon is constantly needing to be closer and closer and just can’t seem to feel like it’s enough. Which overwhelms Grace in the beginning but eventually understands that this is also Simon’s way of letting him know that he’s there too.

And Grace does love how intense Simon is because in a way it reminds him of some of the harshness of Earth and humanity that isn’t found in their little globe on Erid and the Eridians. Not in a bad way, but in a more ‘this adventure has been a little too whimsical at times and I need to be reminded of home’.

Never really cared one way or the other for Mycroft Holmes as a character. He’s always portrayed as cold to others but tolerant to Sherlock’s antics and in some cases fond of him.

But I must say…Young Sherlock’s Mycroft….

You’ve charmed me.

Your wet cat demeanor and sad eyes have enthralled me.

The fact that Hal has been taking care of everyone else’s guilt and grief over Thjazi’s death and hasn’t had a moment to actually process is killing me.

This is not a dig at how everyone else is kind of pushing their shit onto him…because that’s who Hal seems to be. He is the backbone of his community and people go to him because he’s a sound voice in a chaotic world. But damn if it doesn’t kill me that there really isn’t anyone he’s venting at yet

(Keep in mind I only got through half of episode 19 so far and I’m blanking on the earlier episodes so if I’m off my bad but that’s the vibe)

Not having an artistic bone in my body is so depressing sometimes because I want to see Chris bending Wesker over every which way, ankles by his head with tears in his eyes but I can’t draw it myself

I just want to find someone who’s putting Wesker’s flexibility to good use. Is that too much to ask?

Watching the first 30 mins of a RE9 playthrough:

‘Omg how did he do that roundhouse? Are his hips still working?’

Maybe I’m forgetting some dialogue cause it’s been a minute since I played the game…and I haven’t seen anyone else bring this up…

But do we know FOR SURE that Verso is dead?

Like we’ve heard that he didn’t want to be a Painter and as the only son he was gonna end up being the heir and taking Aline’s place (supposedly). He dies in a fire and typically that tends to not leave much evidence behind (again this world has different rules so…). And no one but Alicia and Verso were there when it happened and all we have is Alicia’s account.

When Renoir makes the Axons of his family, he does so with the best impressions that he has of them.

And for Verso…his impression of his son, that he is grieving…he died horrifically…whose death is literally killing his family… is that he is the biggest liar that he knows??

Again maybe I’m forgetting some important dialogue or journals but…

Could Verso be alive?

My only aversion to this is how much Alicia suffered and I don’t know if Verso would’ve done something like this if she was going to get hurt.

On the other hand…

We DO NOT KNOW VERSO.

We only know how the family sees him the their own lens of grief. Did he love them? Most likely. Did he love them more than wanting to live his own life? Would he have let Alicia take the pain to further push this lie?

(Edit: I think there’s also the whole ‘Dessendre family’s inherited selfishness’ aspect that could go into his decision, again if true and using Alicia as his scapegoat. Maybe thinking the family would be there for her more than they really didn’t end up being.)
