A purpled haired boy in a dress was on his way to school, carrying his bookbag and a book - ??? (Jojo-incorporated)
Once in the schoolyard, he passes a girl. Then another. Then another, until it’s clear that around fifteen of them are milling about in the area for a reason that, if he’s been here long enough, is now obvious.
A few of them are standing around talking excitedly to eachother, holding boxes like they’re something precious, others are looking forward in palpable anticipation, and at the center of it all is (who else?) Fukuyo Terumi, handing out something.
…At least they’re not in a hallway, that’ll make it way less of a pain to get through this mess.

“Ah, yes. Fukuyo Terumi.
…And I do wonder who you got that creature of yours from, then.”
“W-What creature?”
“The one that was behind you a moment ago.
Was it… Not with you?”
“I…” Well there’s no way out of this one. “The creature is just a friend, that’s all.”
“I thought so! I mean, how else could you be so casual about Teddy here?
How interesting, though…” Terumi circles behind Lee, trying to get a better look. “It’s not often I see one like this. What is it called? When did it appear?”
“His name is Prince, and he just… showed up.” Lee explains somewhat.
“Hmm, yeah, that does tend to happen with creatures like these… Usually, at least. Are you the one who makes him appear, or does he do it on his own?”

Teddy, despite being made of fabric rather than fur, immediately looks like he’d puff up to look bigger and more intimidating if he could.
“What the heck is such a high-level-looking monster doing with you??”
“Y-You can see him?” The boy says, trying not to yell.
“Uh?? Yeah?? Duh??? Can’t you see me?”
…As Teddy speaks, Terumi begins approaching him with a smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes. It seems like the girls have dispersed for the time being.
“Y-Yes.” The boy says, before the transparent figure behind him points out that Terumi is incoming. “Uhhhh-”
“And do I look like someone that- What?”
Teddy looks behind him a moment before Terumi grabs him out of the air.
Terumi feels like the cat is pretty much out of the bag by now, so she addresses Teddy directly.
“Oh, Teddy… Would it kill you to mind your manners with strangers??”
“Ack-!”
Oh… oh boy. “So he’s with you?”
“Terumiiiiii, why’d that thing way cooler than Axelef?! Why come that dork gets to make something cooler than the one who works for meeeee?!”
Still smiling, Terumi lifts Teddy to face her and aggressively whispers something into his ear, “Might I remind you that Axelef does a lot of the public disruption you want so badly??”
…She then releases him into the air where he bobs like a balloon for a moment before collecting himself.
“Yes. He is with me, and I’m sorry if he caused you any trouble~.”
“No it’s fine, really.” Up close this girl seems untrustworthy. Best not tell her about his friend.
It’s a bit late for that, she already saw this friend while she was approaching.
“…I do hope he didn’t bite you.”

The boy holds onto his book tightly, as he sees 15 girls outside. Still, he wants to see what that one girl is handing out, so he walks over to the crowd to try and get a look.
“-Of course. This one is for you, when I laid eyes on it, I knew that it was made to be worn by you.”
It seems like she’s handing out white day candies and accessories.
As he approaches, Terumi takes notice. This… Person isn’t in her usual entourage, but…
“Oh, you there, do I owe you something too?”
…All of a sudden, the boy has a lot of eyes on him.
Oh no. The boy just stands there quietly, holding onto his book tighter. “No.” He says lowly and nervously.
“No? Alright.”
The girls soon go back to what they were doing before.
…Unfortunately, the boy’s discomfort has attracted the attention of something more irritating, talking close to his ear.
“Gee, this one seems like a real wimp. Can’t walk past some girls?”
The boy hears the talking and is caught off guard by it. “Wha-”
“What, you can actually hear me? Didn’t think you’d have it in you.”
The small bear floats around to face the boy, and pokes him in the forehead a couple times with a paw.
“Too bad, I don’t think biting you’d be worth it!”
The boy was caught off guard by the small bear, and he certainly wasn’t expecting to be bullied by the small bear. “Can you please leave me alon-”
“Assert yourself, Lee.” A voice says from behind the boy.
“Whahuh?”
Teddy stops, then hovers a little higher as the stitching on his torso splits open to reveal an eye, which he uses to peer over the boy’s shoulder.
“Aw, there’s no way…”

A catboy is suddenly in the area and asking a question completely unprompted by anyone:
“Karito, do you get dreams?”
-Aiutante, alternatelydrawnmoriocs
Karito stiffened, but immediately relaxed into himself, "Probably! I can never remember them though..."
(( @alternatelydrawnmoriocs ))
(Continued)
“Heaven…”
He distinctly recalls that time he had a hole punched in him, his soul left his body, and was faced with. Her.
…Might as well humor him, though.
“Could be. But I sure hope this body wasn’t made in a way that my soul could escape while I’m sleeping.”
"ih-it might buh-be a memory," Karito shrugged. His. Well, he thought they were, anyways.
“…A memory… You think so?”
He’d assumed that since this world is written, that was supposed to be something of narrative significance…
“I wonder when that would have happened to me. I can’t remember anyone ever actually talking to me before Darius picked me up…
I guess I’ll just have to see if I have more dreams later. Maybe that’ll tell me something.”
"yuh-you should talk tuh-to lady karia muh-maybe. shuh-she does a lot of fuh-fortune telling and stuff. maybe shuh-she knows something."
“Oh, yeah, maybe. She’s only here sometimes, though, right? When does she usually visit?”
A strange expression crossed Karito's face. He hadn't. Thought about it for a while, "i-i'm... not suh-sure. she duh-doesn't come as often as she used to..."
“That’s alright… Could you let me know the next time she’s around, then?”
“yuh-yeah! yeah i will,” and it was gone. Whatever concern that briefly crossed his mind was just. Gone.
…It’s probably not his fault that that keeps happening, but it sure feels like it. Not that it actually matters.
…But part of him feels like he should still treat it like it does.
“Thanks.
…You can also come and just, like… Hang out when you feel like it, too. Or if anything’s bugging you.”
“wuh-wait, really?”
“Yeah, really. I mean, you just listened to me describe a dream. It’s only right.”
