It really is. As cliche as it sounds it feels like I was holding for the first time like it was yesterday.

You would be right on that. I think she was even more confused with a baby brother to top it all off.

Mine too. It’s always been me and her for a long time and now she’s growing up and there’s new things happening like a new brother that she’s totally shocked by. We didn’t tell her the gender of the baby, but once he was born she sort of knew something was different. She’s also so attached to her mom it’s crazy. I hope they do, too. She can be cute when she wants to be.

My little Loyal bear is turning two years old tomorrow and I don’t think I’m ever going to be ready to let her get older. Literally all she’s been asking since her brother got here was to take him back. I have no idea how I’ll break it to her.

Being a parent is so weird. Sometimes you go in with all these preconceived notions of how you’ll do it. Like you’ll say you’re never going to medicate your kids and then suddenly it’s three am with a teething baby and you pull out the panadol without a second thought. Anyone else like that?

I’ve never really thought of it like that. I’m kind of a go with the flow type of parent so I never really could go back on my word. But I’m sure many parents feel that way. Epecially if you're in the thick of it and you throw your boundaries out the door just to get a decent night under your belt.
