Ok, ok, but Booker is different from the others in one sense: he wasn’t really a soldier, neither he died fighting like the rest did (we don’t know about Lykon and Quynh, but still). Andy, Joe, Nicky and Nile all died fighting, but Booker was hanged for desertion instead. He didn’t want to fight, he tried to run from it, and this is how he died. It’s a really interesting distiction, especially in the comics where we see Andy, Joe and Nicky charging into battle on their first deaths.

Booker headcanons

It has been pointed out that Le Livre is… a bit strange as surnames go, but what if Booker was a foundling? And the orphanage where he grew up was notorious for giving out “line-of-sight-names”?

To the point that, even 200 years later, he can easily spot the descendants of the other orphanage boys.

By the same token, he was christened Sébastien because he was born/found on Saint Sebastian’s day (January 20th).

Secondly, he is the one most likely to have a problem with horses: city boy, poor, tall, which means he needs a bigger horse and he does not like those beasts already… Cars and motorbikes are the best things ever invented, thank you. He is Not Comfortable with means of locomotion that can think for themselves.

(Ask him about “intelligent cars” and then stand back and watch the fireworks)
