Danger. That had been what his senses told him. He didn't know the full story, couldn't afford to. He simply knew he had to hide and that if anyone found him it would spell disaster. And that was, thusly, what he had done. X himself had lost track of time. It didn't matter much to him anyways - he had been alive for so long that what were a few months? Little for one who had been on this plane of existence for hundreds of years. He had...he hoped things calmed down. For his sake, and for that of others. For the first time in a long, long while he took a look outside of the Archives, and as his eyes scanned the surroundings he felt a pass of relief pass through him. It was over.

“I was more worried so one might have taken it from you.” Nix grumbles back a bit at the elf’s glare. Unlike the collars he had on Gage or Verse, the pendant was easy to remove. “And now i don’t think you’d ever give up anything I gave you. Not willingly anyways.”

“Of course I wouldn’t!” He puffed his chest out slightly, a faux sense of arrogance coming from the small elf before it dissolved into a fit of laughter.

“Really, Nix, it’s fine. Don’t worry about me.” A boop to the nose, and X smiled.

Nix wrinkles his nose when X touched it then gently nipped at the a fending finger. “I’m gonna worry about you if you like it or not.” He hums a little. “LIke you worry about me when I tell you not too.”

A huff, but X really didn't seem that upset. Nah, he was smiling behind that pout as he took Nix's face into his hands.

"Fine." A kiss was pressed to his wrinkled nose, and in the end the brunette couldn't help but to laugh.
