Winter isn’t the only time to celebrate Christmas. Christmas in Winter is only one phase for a Christmas that lasts all year-round. In all seasons. A wintery Christmas can be an extremely amazing time of year, no doubt, but why not search for reasons to love all the other times one can celebrate it all year long? Christmas isn’t limited to winter.

Beautiful decorations! Lights are an important part of a year-round Christmas! However, it is up to each individual celebrating year-round what they will do about decorating the outside of their homes.

Leaving up the Christmas tree is entirely optional. Originally, Christmas trees were imported from Germany during the era of Queen Victoria who helped popularize the German tradition involving the Christmas tree as a universal symbol for Christmas as we know it. Although for those who wish to celebrate all year round, leaving the Christmas tree as a constant decoration can help keep the Christmas mood all year all year round. But as this individual in the photo demonstrates, Christmas All Year Round can be put into perfect sync with the other holidays during the year. 

February: Christmas & Valentine’s Day

March: Christmas & Saint Patrick’s Day or Easter

April: Christmas & Easter

July: Christmas in July (sync with Independence Day for Americans)

October: Christmas & Halloween

November: Christmas & Thanksgiving

December: “Mainstream” Christmas time

As I will continue explaining in this blog, utilizing seasonal materials during the present time of year (Christmas in July is one of the obvious examples) creates a year-round Christmas experience that blends in perfect balance with all the seasons.

Christmas decorations don’t always need to use winter decorations all the time, but they are parts of the decoration toolbox. Think about Santa Claus on the beach for a second as one example. That blow up decoration looks like more it fits with the “Christmas in July” season. However, some people still put up this decoration in December.

I love snow! In the Sonoran Desert, it is rare to receive snow. Here it often feels like “Christmas in July” where there isn’t any snow on the ground. One day, I wish I can live in a place where I can enjoy the traditional Christmas snowfall in December.

As the first lesson connected to living a Christmas All Year-Round lifestyle, we will use this image as an educational template on a few examples of what you may need to keep up (or put down depending on your preference or seasonal theme) during the year. This image contains at least five things you may need if you decide to keep a winter theme all year round: 

1. Christmas tree and decorations (Winter themed).

2.  Mini Christmas decorations (there’s a mini tree in the center of the image). 

3. Garland (a natural decoration product). 

4. A Christmas word decoration. This image has the word “Joy”, but others include “Noel”, “Merry and Bright”, etc. 

5. Christmas lights. (It brightens the environment).

Do keep in mind, as an extra idea, considering “neutral” decorations that don’t involve images of Santa Claus (unless you want to keep these types of decorations out if you like keeping decorations up especially inside the house), have a higher of blending in during the year so that it doesn’t stick out for those that don’t decorate year-round.

Celebrating Year Round is a Lifestyle

Many of us don't think too much about the privilege it is to choose to celebrate a holiday all year. For some, it can be really difficult because some family and friends can find it extremely weird (not all of them will so don't think of it as the rule). But here's something to think about...

If you want to celebrate your favorite holiday all year, you can do it without worrying about all the backlash you receive from those who don't.

Besides, they won't see the fun there is to choose to live in the holiday as a lifestyle, versus as a one-way stop.

This blog will focus on tips to celebrate Christmas All Year. For those who have no interest in celebrating the season all year long, this blog is not for you.
