had a dream that jimmy solidarity decided to prove he wasn't autistic on stream by taking a lot of autism diagnosis tests online and he got at least a 90% chance on all of them. at one point joel joined the call and sat in silence for a bit as jimmy practically sobbed as he got another 97% chance. grian was apparently harassing him about something through discord the whole time too. it ended with jimmy crying genuine tears and his girlfriend coming in to comfort him.

i woke up and fell back asleep and had a dream that there was a guess the build video released a week or so later and the whole time grian kept cracking jokes and at some point impulse was like "don't be a jerk about autistic people, grian" and grian just went "I COLOR CODE MY SOCKS, IMPULSE"

the unique thing i looove about last life is the map, because not a single season was as good at environmental storytelling as this one.

taiga and dark forest, subconciously unfriendly biomes. cold and dark colours, lack of light and cozy greenery like flowers, cherry blossoms and moss. snow. spacious territory, it's easy to get lost. neighbours don't see/hear each other unless they intend to. natural isolation encourages stronger alliances. natual hostility encourages fortifications. both of these things encourage espionage, insincerety, double identities. the enchantment table is the reason to get yourself in danger, both environmentally (leave your home base) and socially (meet other players, including the reds, steal the table, try to get it back).

it feels different because it is different. other seasons are bright and colourful; neighbours see and hear each other, there's almost no privacy; the longer the project goes on, the less cautios and secretive players act; and alliances are limited by pre-planned strategies (that start to resemble the mcc spectrum from red rabbits (a.k.a "want to win" team) to pink parrots (a.k.a. "having fun" team)) more often than by storytelling. and environment plays a big role in it.

Okay this is probably a hard ask since there is absolutely no one like Dan and Phil. But I actually enjoyed just listening to their podcast, and historically, I hate podcasts unless they’re whole story productions (like Markipliers edge of Sleep).
