Some more rough Alyadrien/Ninette bestie AU doodles !! Drawn as I pondered whether to work them into the fic I’m writing 🫪

So in the tags of this post I mentioned I have some old Alya and Adrien bestie doodles from an AU where they ended up being best friends as the two new kids and Nino and Mari were childhood besties, and even tho I didnt want to share bc I’m no artist lol I decided fuck it here they are! Little captions with each one since it’s hard to see lol.

this arc is breaking my heart but I do have to note that it's killer for those of us who have been spreading the Alya and Adrien bestie agenda for years. They are so similar and it really does a lot in expanding the core four dynamics that Alya is very passionate about Adrien's autonomy, even if it means disagreeing with Marinette, and I feel like it helps prevent her from becoming Mari's "yes man" like many people (who don't understand her character) thought she would/should be.

I guess it also calls into question if Nino will be more sympathetic to Marinette to balance stuff out, which honestly would be really interesting to see! He was a day one Gabriel hater, the only person currently who has no inkling about the secret, and Adrien's #1 shooter, but I think it would be interesting if he sympathizes with the base concept of 'protecting' Adrien (get it? protection?), even if it was gone about the wrong way and meant keeping him in a bubble (haha? get it again?), and while he'd still be upset, maybe he would be more willing to understand Marinette, esp since he wasn't reallyyy lied to as egregiously as Alya/Adrien. Idk, I feel like it would really subvert expectations!

However I could also see him going ape shit on Adrien's behalf (esp after the whole documentary thing) and it would obviously make more sense that way, so it's all up in the air! I think I'm just desperate for a more split down the middle core four dynamic post secret so poor Mari isn't all alone lmao, but I know realistically that probably won't be the case.

Anyway, to conclude the core four angst dynamics that are to come out of the secret coming to light is going to kill me and I'm so so ready.

Opinion on Alyadrien?

Oh this would have been fun! I think it and Ninette are a solid 'what if' scenario. It would have been an easy double-girl-power pairing.

Alya isn't afraid to talk to Adrien. It starts out with a reporter's natural curiosity about this absolutely famous boy in her class. She's not a fangirl, but she would be slacking if she didn't try to gather some news. Quickly she realizes Adrien's isolation and his sweet-summer-child nature. With her big-family upbringing she doesn't let that stand. Adrien gets pulled along (happily) as she tries to show him the world. What starts as Shenanigans becomes friends becomes lovers. Adrien can totally match her freak on getting into trouble and gremlin like behavior.

Bonus:

Ninette is fun too. Once more-she's not scared of Nino. At first she's confused by his fumbling approaches, but being Marinette she has to reciprocate. Two idiots executing overly performative gestures in place of simple expressions of their feelings. Again, he can match her freak. He wears her knitted gifts all the time.He writes her songs on the daily. They're absolute idiots who can do everything for each other except actually say 'I love you.'

A Supreme Punishment by Polaristar

Alya was ready for a peaceful, and well deserved sleep after spending all night helping Ladybug defeat Shadybug and Claw Noir, villains from another universe, until she found herself trapped in an unknown world by the ‘Supreme’. Her only ticket home is to befriend the elusive Chat Blanc who roams around Paris causing terror among the people. Will she be able to escape back home or will she find reasons to stay, for friendships, and most importantly, love?

This is the rarest of rare sights, an Alyachat fic! Specifically with Chat Blanc.

It's interesting watching Alya navigate this new world, reminiscing on how much of a difference not having a magical emotional terrorist plaguing Paris makes on others, particularly Marinette.

This fic doesn't actually have that much to do with the Paris Special, it mostly centers around Alya reaching out the mysterious Chat Blanc, getting to know the guy that so many others are so terrified of, and falling in love. While there are a few places where the fic could have benefited from a beta to help with clunky sentences or grammatical issues, overall I really enjoyed it! Especially with it being from Alya's perspective, I think everyone knows how much I love that XD.

Chat is looking forward to a peaceful night of patrol with Ladybug. Unfortunately for him, Ladybug is unavailable so she sends Rena. Rena, seeing how hurt he is again for feeling like the odd one out, is determined to cheer him up, leading the two of them to grow closer than ever before.

I love how much Alya pays attention to Chat here, notices that he needs support, and just... is there for him, hangs out with him. How both of them get to have fun times together and slowly grow closer together. It's just really nice to see them bond and eventually, become a couple!

I have been reminder that I once more have not been on my Adrien x Alya bullshit

So here’s some headcanons

- The flirting never stops. Not ever not once, basically each quip whether it’s a pun or directed at the villain, goodness it is so blatant they’re in love.

- That being said Alya actually is good at it and clever with it being subtle within quips while Adrien being himself is only really flattering to Alya…most of the time.

- If Alya wasn’t the one doing the blogging, goodness it would be nothing but crappy celebrity drama coverage between the Fox and the Cat.

- They are unstoppable truly (but seriously if Marinette was in a throuple with them, Paris would never be the same).
