It's summer and time for wandering… and the beach was calling me! After a long stressful and tiring day, Finally! I’ve had a chance to unwind and enjoy for a moment. My family and I decided to go to Baticurao, Alawan island on May 31, 2021. It is located next to the Baticurao Island Resort, which is still a virgin island with no entrance fee or accommodations. We spent the night on the island and started to assemble our tents and made a bonfire. We prepared our foods for dinner and after that we started to mix our drinks for the night. My mind was at peace and calm just like the ocean. As the water touched my body, I felt relieved. As I flout at the sea, I feel like I’m free. Looking at the beautiful stars in the sky. I just thank God for His beautiful creation. I've had so many life realizations that have allowed me to appreciate what life has to offer and how valuable it can be. I also believe in saying that tans will fade but the memories will last forever that’s why we must enjoy life and go to the beach!
There are also residents that live on the island and work to support their families. We are the only tourists on the island and they humbly welcomed us without any hesitation. Actually, before we had island hopping. We did a 3-5minutes hike from Burabod to Mansangat. We came to a halt at the peak of the mountain and took a shot of the spectacular panorama. It's an island community where we've been waiting for the bangka to arrive. We ate lunch in Mansangat and sipped freshly picked buko juice.
As we arrived at the beach, I spent my time together with my family. I always love seeing their genuine smile. The night was very unforgettable and fun! It makes my heart flattered to see them happy and wishing to see it every single day. I’ve realized that everything in life has a purpose. We just have to discover it every single day of our lives. Don’t focus on the problem but focus on the solution. People want to have peace, that's why we go to places that we think would lessen our negative thoughts and problems in life. Listening to music while unwinding is the best!
