Talisman or Amulet? - Which one is for you
Ever wondered what small object could you carry around for good luck and protection? Hello my witchies, today we'll figure it out! :)
First, let's clarify the difference between a talisman and an amulet.
- Talisman: a small portable object or jewel (typically with a symbol) which has an active and attractive power for positivity and good luck.
- Amulet: a small portable object or jewel containing a defensive power, a passive barrier against negativity and bad luck.
Both can be passed down, inherited, purchased, found, gifted to the person or totally self-made.
Often, a talisman is a little work of art featuring some metal (tribal, artistic, religious, spiritual and alchemical origin) while an amulet is more informal, frugal (popular, pagan origin).
Which one is the best choice for us?
We need to consider our zodiac sign. If you're a...
...CARDINAL SIGN Libra, Capricorn, Aries, Cancer ** Aries and Capricorn have an extraordinary drive and strength which can reach full potential thanks to the defensive power of an amulet, so that their plans and projects can flow without any interruption.
** Libra and Cancer happen to feel stopped by strong emotions and would definitely benefit from the attractive power of the talisman to finally get all the good things, opportunities and energies they desire
...ACTIVE SIGN Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Aquarius Your best buddy is an amulet to protect all the good luck that you already attract by yourself with your enthusiasm, but is frequently ruined by all the negativity that people projects onto you.
...PASSIVE SIGN Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio, Pisces A talisman is of great help for these signs, who can't always focus because have so much going on in their lives: this small object will put the good in front of you so keep your eyes, mind and heart open.
...A PERSON WHO HAS A VERY CONTRASTING BIRTH CHART OR DOESN'T BELONG TO ONE CONVENTIONAL ZODIAC SIGN Analyze yourself/your personality to find out your ideal object. ** if you're restless, chatty, extrovert, nervous, driven, or have an active lifestyle prefer an amulet to stay unstoppable! ** if you're a quiet, calm, collected, shy, laid back, or have a sedentary lifestyle prefer a talisman to achieve your goals!
I really hope this helped you guys to take another step forward.
Love, xox msmoonfire

Just a Reminder For Everyone
Not every spell is going to work and that is alright. You are not a failure because of it. Keep at it. Not everyone can afford all of the fancy tools or ingredients or altars or all the bells and whistles. That doesn’t make you any less of a practitioner than the next person. Keep at it with the creative alternatives. It’s okay if you learn that something you thought was correct was wrong/different or something you thought was wrong was actually different. We all make mistakes. Keep an open mind to learn. We all learn at different paces after all. Being a practitioner of magick is certainly overwhelming, as well as rewarding, and it’s okay to feel such. Just take it one step at a time and take a break if you need to. You don’t have to practice every day to be a ‘real’ witch. That’s just nonsense. Follow your own path! If you want to take up a certain craft or something of the sort, do so. Don’t fall into something you don’t enjoy just because everyone else does it. It won’t be enjoyable and satisfying. This is about YOU so you should be doing what makes YOU happy. If you have to hide what you do, do NOT feel ashamed. Not everyone understands us and that’s on them. You are beautiful and what we do is truly beautiful and if they cannot and will not see that, than that’s truly a shame.

How to Read Witch Books as a Beginner
The witchcraft world is full of books and authors and topics, so much so that it can be difficult as a beginner to know where to start and how to read books on witchcraft. The first thing to consider is what kind of perspective you want. As a beginner, I recommend starting with books from a historical and informational perspective, rather than ones that get into specific techniques or workings. This will help ensure that you are getting a solid foundation before moving on to these higher-level subjects.
When choosing a book from this category, it is important to research the author and subject matter online beforehand so that you don’t end up learning or purchasing something that turns out to be problematic in the future. For example, I would recommend staying away from most books that use Wicca in the title as Wicca tends to be overrun with cultural appropriation. If you can find them for free or used, they can be helpful to learn about that side of our history and “modern witchcraft”, but these books should be consumed with caution.
Once you have found a book that you think is good, it would be preferable to purchase it from a local store if possible. I especially try to purchase any of my books from BIPOC owned stores as a way of supporting these businesses, but if these do not exist in your area or they do not stock witch-y books, buying online is fine. I would also recommend checking your local library, I was surprised by how well stocked mine was!
Now that you have the book you want to read, look at the index or table of contents to orient yourself to the subject matter. When I read witchcraft books to try to improve or learn something, I treat them more like a reading for school than reading for leisure. This means taking notes, highlighting things, coming up with questions I have for future study, etc. Whatever it takes for you to get the most of your reading is what you will want to do. Take your own perspective and background into account when going through the book and be prepared to do so more than once. We all have different experiences that will shape how we consume any kind of material, especially that of a spiritual nature.
I am currently working on compiling a list of the books that I read during what I consider to be the beginning of my magical journey, so look for that coming soon! In the meantime, a good place to start would be to look to other creators who have made their own book recommendations lists.

Part 1 ☆♡☆
Hello all!
Today I began writing my first grimoire! I am thinking about starting with this one and using it as a rough draft, and then once I have organized notes and complete spells I will begin an evolved grimoire that is coherent!
I have been using a lot of tips from tumblr as well as some YouTube videos, and I’m really appreciative that this community is so helpful on a lot of posts. I still don’t have many followers but just scrolling through the hashtags makes me feel welcomed! I am excited to (hopefully) make some witchy friends soon 💜

𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐎𝐈𝐑𝐄:
🍁A table of contents is a wonderful idea and can be a great help, but it really is up to you.
🍁Try and plan what you’re going to write down and when.
🍁You can write down every idea you have in a notebook aside first to organise and plan if you want (this is what I do but I do consider myself a little bit of a perfecionist haha)
🍁You can print out photos, dry out flowers and herbs, add stickers, doodle and more to decorate your Grimoire if you’d like. It makes it more personal, but in the end the most important thing is that you understand it.
🍁And remember that it is your Grimoire, try not to compare it to anyone else’s and remember that witchcraft is all about personalization. If you do not have a Grimoire that’s okay too, this is your craft and your rules♡
