Have you ever fallen in love with a place? So deeply that your heart aches for it constantly?
Like a relationship ending when you thought everything was good. Or if you were wrong about breaking up with someone. You know... the whole, “You don’t know what you got till it’s gone.”
It’s all you ever think about. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions. You get jealous when you see people with what you love; what you’ve been yearning for. You get sad when you think about the good and bad times. You get upset about the things that you never got the chance to do; what you could have done differently or better — the things that have slipped away.
You get lost in thoughts and memories as you look at old photos and videos. You’re remembering the beautiful sights and sounds, the air caressing your cheeks, the intoxicating smells, the people, the aura, the way you felt in those moments in time... You can feel your heart get heavy. Maybe your eyes even swell with tears. The heart just wants what it wants.
Because what was then is not now. And maybe all you wish is for is another escape with what you love... where you love; To fill that empty hole in your heart relive your love in the place you love — to fall in love again

It’s been ages
February 24th, 2019:
Short update
It’s been ages since I’ve been on this thing... a lot has changed. For starters, I no longer live in Canada. My 5 years in Canada had flown by... the last bit in Banff was theeeee fastest. I have done so much out there and still have a million things left to do! I really have no idea where the time went!
The drive home from Canada to California was absolutely amazing. James and I took the long way home through Idaho-Washington (Seattle)-Oregon Coast-California Redwoods. Hands down the best road trip I’ve been on. The Oregon coast has been on my list for years so it’s nice to tick it off.
Anyways, I NOW LIVE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY.
Australia is my new adeventure... and possibly permanent home. I’d say so far so good out here... excluding all the fucking creepy crawlies. Although I haven’t seen a snake yet, I do believe that there’s a large python that lives in roof/walls. [can I just say that as I was typing this James fucking scared the shit out of my by running his hand up my leg like something was crawling on it]
I think Gold Coast has enough to offer. It’s about an hour from Brisbane and Byron. It’s a city on the beach and a drive away from the forest. It doesn’t get as hot/humid as it does in other places in Australia. Yeaaahhhh it’s not too bad. It’s also developing
A plus to this is that our best mates from Banff live a short drive away. Anddddd I finally get to live with a dog!
The downside... I live on the other side of the world. Things aren’t easily accessible and convenient like the bay. Well I mean things are but not an excessive stupid amount of varieties that us Americans are used to. I also miss the mountains! It’s weird to say this since I’ve always hated being land locked. Australia has mountains but they don’t compare to Banff haha. But yeah and the obvious creepy fucking crawlies.

“Renew, release, let go. Yesterday’s gone. There’s nothing you can do to bring it back. You can’t “should’ve” done something. You can only DO something. Renew yourself. Release that attachment. Today is a new day!”
