YOU HAVE BEEN CURSED.
IF YOU DO NOT REBLOG THIS IN 3 MINUTES, YOU WILL DIE AFTER SEEING THAT MANS FACE IN THE MIRROR.
OOC: I've been listening to Anne Hathaway's rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" on repeat for at least an hour now, and I have no idea what it's doing to my emotions. I just. Ugh.
Reblog if I can Roleplay with you.
[ So, I apologize for anyone I haven't replied to, and if I owe you a response please like this post. I got my hands on a laptop finally, so there will be an entirely new theme and GIFs to go along with posts! ]
[A quick breath skitters from her lungs, skating across her lower lip as she exhales, solemn eyes laying upon each individual in turn; she only recognized two individuals of the four that stood before her, and even then she did not truly know them. The angel purses her lips into an expression of neutrality, allowing her eyelashes to momentarily pepper against her cheekbones before she spoke.] "Hello. I am Carmen." [She inclines her head forwards in a polite nod, clasping her hands behind her in the proper soldier's stance as she allowed herself to graze her eyes over the four before her. It was a curious assortment, a realization that brings the angel's brows lofting upwards in mild curiosity.] "How can I be of assistance to you, gentlemen?"
[Archangel. The angel steps forwards, tipping her head into a stuttering nod of respect and rearranging her wings carefully, her expression circumspect. She refrains from speaking for a long moment, simply allowing her gaze to rest upon the archangel.] “Hello,…
[They are almost polar opposites - he is golden and light-haired and even more light-hearted, and she is dark-haired and dark-eyed and powerfully stiff. Thusly, his exuberant reply surprises her, and his ruffling of her short, pixie-cut hair brings her to sputter as she uselessly fumbles for words. Finally, she regains her composure with a great exhalation and a large amount of flabbergasted blinking.] “I, um, alright. Uh.” [For once in her life, the angel is lost for words.]
Gabriel laughs softly. “I guess that after I ran away no one knew how to raise the fledglings, other than teaching them how to be warriors.” His comment seems light.hearted, but there is some bitterness hidden in it. “Smile a bit, everything will be better!”
[Her face falls into an expression of confusion that has become all too common since she breached humanity, but the puzzlement dissolves a heartbeat later; it reforms and grows, crumbling into a careful blankness set in the cautious straight-edge of a slightly frowning mouth.] "I'm afraid I don't understand. What else are angels but soldiers of the Lord?" [The inquiry is not mocking, pressed forth from furrowed brow and curiously pursed lips. After a moment's pause she responds to the archangel's next comment, lowering her eyes.] "I cannot smile when Heaven is in chaos and the Earth is brimful of evil."
[Archangel. The angel steps forwards, tipping her head into a stuttering nod of respect and rearranging her wings carefully, her expression circumspect. She refrains from speaking for a long moment, simply allowing her gaze to rest upon the archangel.] “Hello,...

[Her brow furrows in puzzlement as she looks to him, but she dismisses the confusion in order to ponder over his offer. Finally, after a short moment, she repeats the shoulder-lift in a lost gesture.] “I would be fine with having something to drink. I am not averse...
[Her expression stutters into blankness as she trails him, her eyebrows falling and collapsing into yet another countenance brimful of confusion. She hadn't put herself amongst humanity in the longest time, and coughed awkwardly, feeling her cheeks heat up curiously.] "What is tap? And at what point did humans gain the ability to turn fruit into liquid?" [The ignorance would be endearing if she were a child; instead, it is comical.] "What about us being real makes you uncomfortable?" [So many questions, so much time.]
[A prophet, and not simply a prophet; he is more, much more. The realization brings the angel’s head canting to the side and a dark gaze to pool upon the man’s face, a mirthless smile alighting upon a countenance that did not seem capable of harboring such a manipulation of mouth.] “Hello.” [She does not press onwards, content to simply wait with tipped head and carefully smiling lips.]
“I’m not sure…if we’ve met, but you’re…in my house.” he gestures to the utter mess that’s around them. He’s not very clean, he actually doesn’t really care, “I’m…Chuck?”
[She spares the room a judicious glance before returning her gaze to him, poised cautiously, like one who knows they are before one with considerable, untested power.] “It’s a pleasure, Chuck. My name is Carmen, and I am an Angel.” [In a gesture to accompany her statement, the angel shifts her currently formless wings from where they’d been piled against her vessel’s back, lofting her brows in enthralled interest as she did so. This was certainly an intriguing encounter.]
Chuck had seen angels before, and they sometimes made him smile. More so when, you know, they weren’t trying to push him around or something. “Y-Yeah I s-see that.” he grinned and rubbed the back of his neck, “Carmen, that’s nice…a nice name?” he hesitated, “Did something happen or are you just….visit…ing?”
[His hesitation brings her to falter in her severity; her eyelids flutter in a momentary flurry of abrupt blinking and she presses her tongue thoughtfully to the tip of her lower lip. She was briefly content to observe the nervousness before her, which brought her to slip her countenance to an angle that better allowed her to observe.] “Thank you.” [She allows her lips to pull away from her teeth and curl into a broad smile that seemed surprisingly suiting on her vessel’s visage; she lifts a shoulder at his halting question, the smile collapsing into astuteness.] “I am visiting, I suppose. I suppose I don’t really have a true purpose at this moment in time, so I’m tending to wander aimlessly.”
“Wandering’s good, I was just…worried usually angels show up when bad things happen but visiting is good!” Chuck grinned half heartedly and looked around aimlessly. “Uh, I can offer you…something to drink or…angels don’t…drink do they? I don’t really know how to be a good host, I’m…not really interesting.”
"How many other angels have visited you?" [Her brow furrows in puzzlement as she looks to him, but she dismisses the confusion in order to ponder over his offer. Finally, after a short moment, she repeats the shoulder-lift in a lost gesture.] "I would be fine with having something to drink. I am not averse to alcohol." [His awkwardness is certainly something she's becoming all the more aware of. It brings her head tipping /again/ to the side and a brow lifting up in an easy expression that didn't fit the severity of her gaze or tone.] "Am I making you uncomfortable, perchance?"
[Well, if they were being straightforward, then there was no need to conceal her emotions. However, despite this revelation, the angel’s expression cools to a medium that lay betwixt disdain and cautious blankness.] “I don’t believe ‘put out’ is quite the phrase...
[Her hitched lip curls away from her teeth even as a heated breath hisses caustically from her parted lips, accompanied by tenebrous eyes and fingers tangled into angry fists. She was uncertain why Lucifer had elicited such a response from her, but she did not care for it; she shifts away, inhaling and lowering her eyelids into a facade of overpowering boredom.] "And who else do you have to speak to? Humans? Other angels? [She exhales scornfully, a hot rush of air that's articulated into an amused snort. She lifts her shoulders in a mirthless shrug, shifting back onto her heels in all-too-obvious relaxation.] "If I'm wasting your oh so precious time, Lucifer, then you are free to flit off and do whatever it is you do in your free time."
[A prophet, and not simply a prophet; he is more, much more. [Well, if they were being straightforward, then there was no need to conceal her emotions. However, despite this revelation, the angel's expression cools to a medium that lay betwixt disdain and cautious blankness.] "I don't believe 'put out' is quite the phrase that'd suit." [She does not elaborate further, for her upper lip is hitching sourly upwards at the expression upon Lucifer's face, and for perhaps the fifth time she regrets taking the image of such a slight individual.] "Despite my apparent dislike of you, formality requests that I inquire about the current state of your being; thus, I ask of you, how are you today, Lucifer?" [There's something biting to the query, a venomous tinge that darkens the murkiness of her irises and lifts her brows into a mockingly patronizing expression.]
[The wavelength of his Grace slams her abruptly, bringing the angel to pitch on momentarily unsteady limbs and draw shade-darkened eyes gaspingly upwards. She certainly recognizes the Grace; it is indescribable and unmistakable, a swarm of massless everything that forces her lips into a prudent smile.] "Michael." [There was a certain lilt to her voice that betrayed her cautiousness, coupled with a discreet, dark look in the archangel's general direction. She did not offer her hand as she had to the others - no, she folds her vessel's shoulders and slumps somewhat forwards, like a dog pressing fearfully away from an angrily uplifted hand.] "What a pleasure."
Something Clever
With my sudden boost in popularity, how ever will I continue these witty greetings.
[Lucifer. The angel's expression dips from cool neutrality to chilled stoniness, her lips pursing and twisting like the bow of a seizing ship, almost as if she'd tasted something horribly foul. Despite her apparent disdain, she tips her head downwards in a respectful gesture, keeping her eyes unwaveringly locked on the man's face.] "Hello, Lucifer." [Her expression darkens, a visible storm-cloud cast across a furrowed brow and distastefully scowling lips. Voicing his name brought nausea clawing at the caverns of her throat.]
