     It’s not hard to find him, he’s sitting on the wing of the Reliant, staring out into the abyss stretching out for light years beyond them, counting the stars and piecing together his own constellations.

He doesn’t want to disturb him when he’s so peaceful but he does it anyways, clamoring up the ladder to crawl out onto the wing next to him.

Alright so it’s working a little better than Abel anticipated. He’s either weak willed or Cain knows just all the right ways to push his buttons but his muscles are relaxing, whole body sinking into the makeshift cot and he’s pressing back against the warm body, brows still furrowed however. It seems his scowl is here to stay for a while.

“Nothing I’m just tired. Are you trying to turn me on?” Because it may or may not be working he hasn’t quite decided which to commit to. Does he even have the time to be spending awake like this? There’s still so god damn much left to do on the Reliant it’s terrifying. 

     “Depends. Are you getting turned on?” Not even he is sure what his end game is but his fingers don’t stop. They find every hill of muscle and divot of skin to touch, grazing along Abel’s abdomen and up to curl around his chin, turn that head to look at him properly for once tonight. He’s still scowling, but in Cain’s eyes it’s softer. Less directed at everything in existence and more at everything else besides him. Good, that’s how he likes it.

     “I’m not tryin’ to but I’ll take care of it if you get a stiffy. Just tryin’ to help you relax right now. How long have you been up?”

Abel turns when he’s directed to, shifts his body to face Cain and yeah, maybe he isn’t as limp as he was before but that’s entirely Cain’s fault and the bastard knows it. He’s not dignifying that with a response.

“I’ve been up almost a full day. Either get on with it or jack off while I go to sleep I’m not beating around the bush tonight.” Twelve hours until he has to be up again, if his calculations are correct (and they almost always are) but he’d spend every second of that sleeping if he could get away with it.
