One day, a sick and frail Fighter named Danielle Sleeps woke up from a strange dream. She left the house without permission and, following a voice in her head, walked towards the Sandstorm. Supposing she had nothing else to lose, she entered and found a Key Boss Monster by itself. Its name was Duerma, and it offered to lend Danielle Sleeps immense magical strength as long as she did not speak of this experience...
scribble concept which will be edited p heavily

+ finalist arena transformation storyboard??? minus the moment before she pulls out her weapon where she puts all of her buffs into effect
he Y whta kind of government do yall have- like is there any reigning power or formal military/education whats goin on there
Coronel Kernel is the highest power in all of Storm's Eye Village. Her right hand woman, May-I Ma'am, is her secretary. She is second in command.
Coronel Kernel is responsible for the schooling of all the Fighters. She teaches them about what it's like outside of the village and how to strengthen themselves through battle. She essentially tries to militarize the villagers through her teachings, but she does it with the interest of pushing back the sandstorm and bringing more land to the village- which would better it in resources and living space.
Socially, villagers expected to strengthen themselves this way. Everyone in Storm's Eye Village is a fighter with their own unique abilities and fighting style. All-Rounders are treated like celebrities.
Fighters will actually gather themselves into a Brigade of at least 3 people (one offensive fighter, one defensive fighter, and one soul sweeper), then consult Coronel Kernel. She'll give them a mission, and they will embark on that direction of the Sandstorm. That's basically how their "military" works.
May-I Ma'am is responsible for gathering all of the villagers and setting them up against each other in Storm's Eye Arena. She also decides what the landscape shifts to in the arena (as it can be customized to balance the fighters' abilities)
so is florence on fire or what
ANA: Um. Well. Florence Ignitia can't really answer your question for you, because she's a Key Boss Monster and, uh, thrown into the category of an Other Dweller that means she can't really communicate with you... Other than facial expressions, I guess...
ANA: But... I guess we gotta assume she is? Her hair is like a the flame of a candle. I haven't touched her, but she does radiate heat... And so do her familiars... So... I guess she is on fire!
OTHERDWELLER NOTES
Other Dwellers are defined as anything/anyone who lives outside Storm's Eye Village, (This basically means the Sandstorm, because that sandstorm along with Storm's Eye Village are all that exist in this universe)
These include Key Boss Monsters and their Familiars, but exclude Fighters from Storm's Eye Village who enter the sandstorm because of a mission.
(An example of a Key Boss Monster, named Florence Ignitia, and concepts of her familiars)
Key Boss Monsters will dispatch their familiars to attack the fighters until their entire brigade is killed, the brigade flees, or the brigade finds and kills them (the boss). There are countless copies of these familiars which they dispatch.
Killing a Key Boss Monster will leave only their Heart, which Brigades are ordered to bring back to Storm's Eye Village.
Returning with the heart of a Key Boss Monster clears the sandstorm wherever that monster reigned. That cleared area becomes an extension of Storm's Eye Village. (This is how fighters "push back" the sandstorm)
Young fighters in Storm's Eye Village are taught that Other Dwellers are unable to speak to them or communicate with them in any nonverbal form. They are like animals.
gal pals trash talking b4 another arena battle
reminder that literally every design here is a scrap piece of rough draft omg just imagine like an oversimplified version of ever y madoka design and that's basically the amaskin designs right now. DON'T FUCK ING WORRY

BRIGADES??? idk if im callin them that
brigades in Storm's Eye Village are highly trained fighters who embark on missions through the black sandstorm.
they can have any amount of fighters, the minimum is 4, but here are the most important categories-
offensive fighters - those who generally use attacks to take down opponents, these ones are often more popular because of their flighty and eye-catching battles
defensive fighters - those who generally manipulate their surroundings in the arena, use their opponent's moves to their advantage, or use moves like force-fields to fight strategically.
soul sweepers - "fighters" (they do not usually attack, they're to be protected by the other fighters as a supporting class such as clerics) who use magic to return all of the fighters in the brigade back to Storm's Eye Village. Two of them are needed to complete this spell (with the exception of Danielle Sleeps a.k.a Sleep O'Clock who is skilled enough to do it on her own).
--
there are also "All-Rounders" who specialize in all 3 of these categories.
