Mozart’s nationality
Was Mozart German or Austrian? Technically, neither. Salzburg was an independent ecclesiastical territory until 1803, ruled by a Prince-Archbishop. In spite of the fact that it was a part of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, its inhabitants didn’t see themselves as either German or Austrians. When Mozart labelled himself as a “true German” (“ehrlicher Teütcher”) he was implicitly referring to his language and to his cultural heritage (it should also be taken into account that his father was Bavarian and the Mozarts had Swabian origins). Mozart was first and foremost a citizen of Salzburg (a “salzburgian”, even though it is not a commonly used term), and later a subject of the Habsburg Monarchy (when he moved to Vienna). From a contemporary viewpoint, he can be considered Austrian.

Das Schloss Lichtenstein, aka the “Fairy tale castle of Württemberg”, is an 1840s Biedermeier style Gothic Revival castle built on a large rock near Honau, Reutlingen in Baden-Württemberg, Southwestern Germany. Laugenbrötchen are a baked German specialty, especially in Bayern and Schwaben, but up North, too. They’re made by glazing bread rolls with a lye solution before baking. The German name for any baked good dipped in lye is Laugengebäck; for rolls specifically, Laugensemmel or Kastanie (Bavarian), Laugenweckle (Swabian) or Laugenbrötchen (everywhere else). Both the rolls and pretzels are covered with large grains of salt, and they’re now sometimes sold covered with baked cheese at fast food stands.

Das Schloss Moritzburg, Sachsen (Saxony), Eastern Germany, is a Baroque palace just outside of Dresden. It has 4 round towers and lies on a symmetrical artificial island.
