My name is Cassy R, I am 20 years old, and I live in Seattle, Washington. I will be attending your Seattle show on June 18th, and Iām literally so excited I can barely contain it. I didnāt manage to get VIP tickets, because they sold out too quickly, but I got the best tickets I possibly could. Iāll be attending with two of my very best friends (pictured), and Iāll probably be crying the entire time. I am gonna do everything I can to meet you guys, Iāve been checking secondhand sites everyday for tickets, but I know that it probably might not happen.
Here is my Phandom story: In 2009, by some stroke of fate, I happened to stumble across Danās video āProcrastination.ā I found it funny, so I checked out the other (two) videos on his channel. Something about it stuck out to me, and told me to stay around. Through those few videos, I found Phil (as you can easily imagine) and Iāve been following the both of you ever since. You both have always made me laugh and been there for me in so many ways. No matter what kind of mood Iām in, even when Iāve literally hit rock bottom watching videos Iāve seen a million times always manage to make my day. I get your tweets sent to my phone, and sometimes you will randomly tweet the exact thing I need to hear that day. You guys have an amazing talent to always release videos on the worst days of my life, and even though Iām thousands of miles away, and you have no idea I exist, it always feels like youāre right there beside me, helping me get through these troubles. I honestly consider you guys some of my best, closest, and most trusted friends, and I am forever grateful for what you have done for me.
To put it into less subtle terms, you both have honestly, truly saved my life multiple times. I love you both so much and Iām so happy to have you in my life, even if not directly. A few years ago, I put together a bucket list, of the top 5 things that I absolutely must do before I die, and meeting you guys was on it. I understand that you are busy and thereās hundred of other fans that want to meet you just as bad as I do, so Iām okay with waiting a little longer if itās not my turn yet.
Iām super, super, SUPER excited for your tour, and watching it is going to hands down be the best day of my entire life. When you first announced the UK tour, I lost my mind and couldnāt help but think of the possibility of you guys coming to America. I am really sad that you guys canāt accept presents or letters, but I do understand why you canāt. Unfortunately, I had already made you both a present before I knew about that. I made you guys a project I call āBear Howell and Phil Striker,ā which is two stuffed animals I designed to look like you guys. I have an adorable lion (that roars!) with a plaid shirt, āPhil Stricker,ā and a Winnie the Pooh with a leather jacket and the famous eclipse shirt, āBear Howell.ā I will be submitting them for the craft project at the Seattle show, because even if you canāt keep them I just want you guys to know they exist. I really hope you get a chance to see them.
The reason Iām making this post is this: Dan, you one time said something that instantly became my favorite quote in the whole world, and hits really close to my heart. āHave the courage to exist.ā I am someone who has always really loved tattoos, and especially ones that have a deep meaning to me. I have tattoos dedicated to my family and my best friends, and one thatās a quick list of all my reasons to live, and I really wanted to get one more. I wanted to get one of the two british boys, whose natural charisma, adorable personalities, and pure, kind, loving hearts have gotten me through so much, and of a quote that both sums up how I feel towards you both, and how I feel towards surviving everyday. You guys give me the courage to laugh, be myself, and exist everyday. I wanted to have a tattoo of both of your signatures, and āhave the courage to existā written out by the two of you. I was hoping, if you donāt mind doing me this huge favor, if each of you could write out half of the quote and sign it, so that I could get it tattooed perfectly. It would mean the world to me if you could, and I could proudly wear a reminder of two of my favorite people in the world for the rest of my life, for everyone to see.
As someone who has been watching you guys for so long, I am endlessly proud of everything you have achieved. With each huge milestone in your careers, it takes my breath away that the world is finally beginning to see the immense potential I have always seen in you guys. There are absolutely no real words to express how much pride, love, and happiness I feel towards you guys. Congratulations on The Amazing Book is Not on Fire, it was incredible, hilarious, and beyond all of my highest expectations. Congratulations on DanandPhilGames, even as someone who isnāt normally interested in video games, I find them so engaging and entertaining. Congratulations on The Amazing Tour is Not on Fire, you guys are so talented, creative, intelligent, and funny that I know the show is going to be 10 stars.
Iām sorry for the long post, but this is the closest thing I will get to telling you how much you mean to me, and getting to write you a letter. I can not wait for my show, to sit alongside other members of the Phandom and scream, and cheer, and cry. You both are my heroes and my biggest inspirations in life, and Iām so happy for you.
