It's something they never talk about in high school, I would know, I teach it now. You would think that once you're on the other side of the desk and you're the teacher that students shout out while walking the halls that you would feel like you actually accomplished something... Like you're doing something.
I feel so useless, alone and unappreciated.
I hear the kids voices say thank you, but I don't feel gratitude. I don't feel happy. I don't feel... A thing. I feel so broken. As broken as my first day of school and last day of college. Like I'm searching for what I should be doing and what should give me purpose, and everytime I feel like I've found something... I realize it was just a breeze that blew just right to feel real.
