In case y'all needed proof that continuing to engage with HP and fucking over trans folks is in fact a CHOICE, Daniel Radcliffe has refused to even have a cameo, despite being repeatedly asked.

For those that don't speak British, this is about as close as he can get to officially, publicly saying, "for FUCK'S sake, get that thing away from me and stop associating me with it, I do not want my name attached to that bigotry."

Daniel consistently redirects the topic away from Jo and toward the Trevor Project, an organization he has been heavily involved with for almost 20 years. He puts his money where his mouth is and uses his platform and his reach to amplify queer voices and queer struggles. He explicitly supports trans people, and is choosing to walk away from a very large and very easy paycheck, because he values trans lives over anything he could get from HP.

Emma and Rupert also won't go near this reboot. Jo has stated the reason she's doing it is BECAUSE the three of them refuse to support her vile hatred.

Every actor who puts their name on this, on any level, deserves to own the choice they're making with their whole chest. If they decide the paycheck is worth being ten toes down on transphobia? They're adults. They chose. And they deserve to be treated accordingly. Actions speak louder than words.

And if you give it a moment of attention or a single penny, you deserve to face the consequences of that choice too.

Remus Lupin

eep careful remus lupin deserved the world and got so little that the taste he had was crueler still

First impression - It’s funny because when we meet Remus on the train, he was so old to me. Grey in his hair. Shabby robes. I didn’t really understand ‘age’ when I was 11/12. It was like Me. Teens. Old Teens.  Movie stars. Mom movie stars. Real mom age. Old people with grey hair. Old people with white hair. So this description of Remus was VERY confusing to me because I definitely thought he was in his 50s/60s when I first met him.

Impression now - i mean like sweet cinammon roll too pure too good so gay so sweet so good to lily and scared and overwhelmed and just sick kid for life personality and trauma and darkness and self hatred and isolation but also reaching out and always pretending and alway splacating and loving his parents and losing his parents and standing alone as the world’s youngest old man so many different times

Favorite moment - “SIRIUS. SIT DOWN.” (siiiiiitttttt)

Idea for a story - um, like, the Marauders. Which I am writing. But also I think…the day Dumbledore came knocking to play chess with a very sick boy with no hope for a cure to offer him a cruel kindness: a chance at a normal life. 

Unpopular opinion - Remus got the RAWEST deal of all four Marauders. People think it was Sirius, but honestly like no. Remus. Because abused kid Sirius raging against the machine blood brotherhood James versus sick kid Remus always being polite never picking sides but never being picked always being third never being second pretending it doesn’t matter at least he’s not fourth but still so so so aware. And then being the worship of his parents’ life and also their destruction. How he isolated the family and drained all their resources and both his parents were wan and never able to have more children or a normal life because of him. And then the day their house was targeted because Fenrir didn’t like that Remus said no. And the day James said ‘stay here…I’ll go inside’ and returning later with Sirius and then just… ‘no…don’t look Remus…don’t…it’s….it’s too messy…’ and SIRIUS GOD SIRIUS HOW COULD YOU and wondering if the darkness they shared had been too real and if it could do that to sirius..what would it do to a man who was already a monster. and peter, poor peter, sweet peter who made him toast when he felt ill before transformations. poor peter who pushed the knot on the tree and james james james james the one who believed in me most of all his stupid big heart the one with the idiot plan and the wild heart and why why why why why why - give harry here, i’ll look after him - i have to plan this funeral alone. lily you were always good at things like this. and wow. your sister really is a bitch. lily god why am i laughing. i should be sobbing. please come home. And then, you know, living alone on the run as a transient refugee hiding from the registry in other countries for TWELVE YEARS, being rerecruited as a spy, seeing what Azkaban had done to Sirius, Peter what did you do. Peter what have you done; losing Sirius all over, marrying someone because she was pregnant and because you were lonely and because you were scared that your life had meant nothing; losing your nerve, your son, your wife, your life. Like. Fuck. 

Favorite relationship - Remus + Marauders, or Remus + Lily on Prefect Rounds.

Favorite headcanon - Remus being a shrimpy nonsensical string bean about as strong and as pasty as a wet paper towel growing six inches over the summer and coming back with a cracked voice at six foot two and being super embarrassed to like…breathe the same air and be called on in class while sirius pouts that it’s not fair and james wheezes
