“Yeah, well. Kid never had a childhood so its kinda a mute point.” Logan says bluntly with a tone that was a mixture of pain, regret and anger. He looks to her with a brow raised as she offers her help. “Thanks, but the people that got her are dangerous. I don’t want anyone taggin along unless they can hold their own against em.” A scoffed laugh comes forth from his lips. “Shit, if I woulda known that I wouldn’t have doubted your ability to stay alive. Also glad I’m not the oldest one ‘round here.” The mutant gives the woman a respectful nod before adding another comment. “You wear it well though.”

Diana frowned a little as Logan spoke, tilting her head. “I am sorry,” she said. “Everyone deserves a childhood.” Despite the heavy nature of their conversation, a faint laugh slipped from her lips as he spoke. “I am more than capable of defending myself, and more importantly, others,” she said. “I can promise you, you don’t have to worry about me.” She laughed again. “It is more complicated than that,” she said. “I’m an Amazon. I have been trained in warfare all my life.” She chuckled. “Thank you,” she said. “You also wear your age well.”
