“If only I’d just gone over when she called.”

Groaning to himself Clark kicked the curb,causing a crack to form along the side. He glanced around in hopes that she would appear despite the fact he was hours late. Gone for months, he had finally gotten Diana to agree to talk when trouble in Toronto occurred and he had to go. In that time she had probably shown up, and waited before  leaving more angrier at him that she was before.

(im going on the assumption that shes mad he left for god knows how long with no reply)

“Afraid of what you’ll see?” she shook her head and scoffed a bit. “Clark Kent you are a certifiable idiot” Diana pulled him close and gazed into his eyes. “You have no idea how much I love you do you. How being without you.... “ she brushed the curl off the middle of his forehead with her free hand as she gave the hand that was entwined with hers a squeeze  “I grew up without any men around me, I pride myself on being an independent woman. I do not NEED to have you in my life,  but I WANT you there.” she kissed his cheek gently. “I like life better when you are in it, and I don’t want to go back to being just friends with you. Understand that. I want you in my life, as my partner.” she kissed him softly.
