Possibly one of the most chilling episodes I watched was the reveal of Trebol's horrifying import role in a younger troubled, and vulnerable Doflamingo's life; EP 724 Unassailable! The Stunning Secret of Trebol

Trebol gave a younger Doflamingo the fatherly protection he desprately wanted from his own father but used it as a way to groom him into the Devil he could leech the benefits off of.

Just when I thought Doflamingo's backstory couldn't get worse, seeing how he actually met Trebol was so unsettling. (Also noticeably, Trebol only being interested in helping Doffy after knowing he posses the power to use Haki)

Trebol gave him "the power" the tool to kill his own father... Knowing Doflamingo has built up resentment and will take out all his anger and frustration out on his Dad. Separating him from his only parental figure who's wholistic intentions were a peaceful normal life but but had given up after tragedy struck and he was crippled by reality of their sins.

(Also Trebol calls him Doffy after he's killed his father, Diamante as well. It comes off as quite creepy, knowing their full on intentions is to groom him for what ultimately feels like a cult in a way, using religious speech to describes things as "Miracles" and such, there's a lot of religious comparison to Doflamingo in his backstory.)

Trebol reinforces the belief into Doflamingo that the way he's been raised as a Celestial Dragon was correct because he's special, he can use Haki at a young age, grow his power.

"You're the man who was chosen by heaven."

Yet it's all a fabricated dream that Doflamingo doesn't care about but the other Donquixote pirates believe and die for this fabricated dream that Trebol put onto Doflamingo, because ultimately "We set up Doffy as a King." And so reap all the benefits of our creation.

Trebol couldn't be more proud with how he made Doflamingo turn out, the monster he is now.

(I'll just put here for now there's whole another essay I could write on why Doflamingo is also the perfect monster.)
