text message from our great friend Tom Mahoney (TRDMRK.ORG, JAN MICHAEL VINCENT CAR CRASH, VAGUE FEARS). Christmas 2013.
We at Ambient Abuse have been fans of the Warlocks and Bobby Hecksher for years. Upon seeing them two nights in a row at Spaceland a few years back, Tom screamed play Moving Mountains in between every song, in a constant non-psych heckle until Bobby Hecksher got pissed and screamed back at him, refusing to play and cursing Tom.
Upon the release of the new Warlocks album SKULL WORSHIP, Thms D. Mahoney released a long coveted project on soundcloud, covering MOVING MOUNTAINS in true fuzzed out sonic suicidal bliss.
"Merry Christmas Bobby." I'm releasing one of my Moving Mountain cover tonight. This nuke has been six years in the making. Added an arpeggiated synth and fake drummer just to nuke Bobby Harder".
