Hello! I am a fourteen year-old transgender boy. This is Science Fair time. The Science Fair is an event for kids from Middle School to High School. The purpose of the fair is to conduct an experiment using the Scientific Method and present it to judges and peers. My goal for the past few years is to conduct an experiment that can ultimately help others. This year my project is about the stigma against transgender people. I want to collect data from people of all ages and study the reasons why someone would fear a transgender person. As a transgender individual myself I care about my community and I myself face challenges because of who I am. I want to help change and examine other people’s attitudes and misconceptions, so that hopefully a few more people on this planet will be supportive of those of us who are transgender. Have you noticed recently how frequently transgender people are mentioned in the news? Have you ever wondered why? Do you know a lot about transgender people or have you never met one at all? What sort of information do you know about transgender persons, and how do you feel about them? These are some of the questions from my study. Please help support my project by taking the short survey below. Thank you! Remember to answer with what feels right to you, not what you think you should answer. Also, don't worry, not all four pages are questions!
