what a lovely cupcake ! it's a shame arlo promptly reaches out and snatches it away from jude, eyes narrowed sharply. ❛ one chance to keep me from tossing this in the next garbage disposal. ❜

jude asked: "Ye, of little faith." He huffs but his smile is still present and his hands are on his hips, forehead gently pressing against his. "Do you think I would drag precious you into my troubles? Promise I won't paint Celestia's target on your back."

much as vine seemed to imply that amdusias would not, in fact, be drawn into whatever mischief he might get into, he knew that he would inevitably feel compelled to bail him out of trouble. his eyes narrowed, and he reached back to pinch his cheek in protest. ❛ exactly, by not getting into trouble in the first place. great idea. ❜

That Fontaine yet stood untouched by Celestia's mire was something he found heavily suspicious. Too many of their nails plagued the land of Teyvat across all nations from not to believe Focalor's sacrifice would go unnoticed or unpunished. The prophecy transpired as they had foretold but the hydro archon's seat wasn't vacant -- it did not exist anymore. Perhaps they did not notice because its authority didn't return to Celestia but rather to him and perhaps him still doing some of the archon's duties -- like setting aside a fraction of his power for their visions -- was keeping them from looking over but Neuvillette constantly lived on edge.

These were worries he couldn't share with anyone and that he kept close to his heart. Whether he could brave Celestia's wrath was still something he was uncertain of -- after all, his kin had fallen once before them and he didn't know how many still roamed Teyvat -- if any at all. He certainly didn't expect to catch sight of one right at his doorstep, so to speak. In a form similar to his own, walking on two feet contained in a body fraction of the size it should be, it had him stare at the snow haired man from a distance. He excused himself from his company quickly after that familiar feeling in him stirred but was unsure how to approach the stranger staring back, other than to walk towards him in silence, hands clasping his cane as he stopped before him and continued his silent watch. At least this way, they weren't attracting attention by being meters apart.

he had no mind to meddle in the affairs of celestia. his own ascension had been something he paid little mind to; being a god didn't bear endless significance to him, past being a testament to his strength. as far as the games of archons, or even sovereigns, went, he had no interest in what seemed like petty squabbles over stolen titles or powers not required to plainly live comfortably. were he stripped of his godhood, then he would still be a powerful dragon with no need for pointless titles.

this one wasn't quite familiar enough. as the relatively imposing fellow made his way towards him, his head canted ever so slightly. there was a small pang of discomfort in his presence, an eerie feeling of something being just slightly off, and he took a moment to simply eye the other up and down, slowly and carefully, more scrutinising than anything else. ❛ the chief justice, i presume ? ❜ he questioned, then. ❛ no need to mind me. i'm just wandering. ❜

dragged to fontaine by none other than the menace of chaos himself, arlo went into the whole trip prepared for the worst. a nation in such turmoil would clearly draw celestia's gaze, something he was not at all eager to be on the receiving end of. on top of that, their iudex was quite clearly some sort of non-mortal being, given amdusias had heard of him far too long ago for any normal human to legitimately live. he wandered the streets of the court of fontaine carefully, with his eyes always peeled, mainly intrigued by the melusines he spotted wandering the streets, but not negatively so. they did seem quite endearing, in an odd way, and while jude was surely busy getting himself into some sort of trouble, arlo instead elected to peacefully explore.

he had only just come to a halt near the palais mermonia, a building he ended up at half by chance, half because he did want to enjoy some of the sights, despite his hesitance to make the trip. said sight-seeing was forced to a stop when he spotted a figure emerging from the building. the chief justice was known even outside the nation, but seeing him in person was a different matter entirely. amdusias barely required more than a moment to come to a clear conclusion; he was looking at kin. his brows furrowed gently, but he elected to quietly regard him, rather than to approach the other, curious whether the iudex would come to a similar conclusion.

jude asked: "You can get paid anywaaaaay you want." He teases, his eyebrows wiggling mischievously. As he's pointed at, he bounces out of the hammock and makes his way to Arlo, his hand taken and wrapped around his own neck. "I don't need to look at any other hotshot out there when I have you~"

❛ can't you cause some mayhem elsewhere ? ❜ he complains, reaching up to tug on his hair gently as his arms move around his neck. ❛ besides, that chief justice of theirs is as suspicious as they come. he's definitely not mortal, and i don't fancy messing with another god and getting unwanted attention from celestia. ❜

jude asked: "Amdusias." He calls overly sweetly, an unusual tone to his voice and he wraps his arms around his middle from behind, his chin resting on his shoulder. "You'd bail me out of jail, right?"

❛ no, ❜ his answer sounded, easily, before the full question even registered. then, he heaved a soft sigh and pat the backs of jude's hands. ❛ you get yourself into trouble, you get yourself back out of it. i'll come by for visitations, though. ❜

jude asked: Jude blows a raspberry in his direction, the hammock swaying with a little bit more force. "I need a vacation from all the relaxing I'm doing. Besides the flood is over. It's just a little looksie to see how things are, maybe cause a little mischief, get thrown in that jail of theirs."

❛ so you try to drag me into an anti-vacation, huh ? i should get paid to put up with your shenanigans, ❜ he argues, and points at him with it. ❛ don't get too uppity just because they think there's no archon in fontaine. besides, you just want to get a look at that hotshot warden, don't you ? ❜

jude asked: "Babe, did you hear that Fontaine nearly got flooded?" Jude sits in their hammock, in the back garden of their shared secluded little cabin, the Steambird half crumpled in his hands and the tip of his toes pushing him to sway. "We should go on a vacation there."

that was, unfortunately, just like him to suggest. while arlo stretched leisurely, idly exercises filling his evening as opposed to his partner's more lax lounging, he came to a slow just to toss the other a skeptical look. ❛ could you pick something normal, for once ? relaxing, maybe ? you know, that thing you're doing right now. ❜

jude asked: It had been just under two weeks when he returned from his trip, a small carriage behind him, though needing to stop below the small path to their cottage. His belongings were carried inside, clothes and paints and paintings alike, trinkets from his travels and a couple of bought things ( like the yellow curtains that now hung from the window ). He was hanging the paintings on the walls, landscapes like he promised and loudly singing to himself when Amdusias would return home.

a benefit of being the god of sound was that he could move silently whenever he pleased. the few times when he was not at their cottage had been the nights and whenever he went to have a walk-- the latter of which had been the case while vine returned. he spotted the carriage first, smirked to himself and just so resisted sprinting up to their home, instead adopting a swifter walk. he lingered by the entrance when he heard him singing, allowed himself a few moments of simply enjoying the sound of his voice, and how sweetly it carried that melody. when he was satisfied with the time spent simply enjoying the way he sounded, he shifted closer, hands coming to his hips from behind him first, before arms gingerly slipped around his middle, and his chin rested on his shoulder while he beamed, mostly to himself. ❝ you're back, although not nearly soon enough. ❞

ueh, now you’re asking difficult questions. i’ve merged a few psd’s and some tweaking of my own went into it, so i have my own psd sitting in its folder.

these two are definitely in there but again, there’s a lot of my own tweaking, too.
