Dinant is a historic town in southern Belgium, located along the Meuse River. 🏰

It was founded in the Middle Ages and became famous in the 11th–15th centuries for metalworking, especially brass production known as dinanderie. The town was heavily damaged during World War I in 1914 but later rebuilt. Dinant is also the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone.
