CONFIRMED CAST:
Lady Gaga as Elizabeth: the wealthy owner of the hotel and a social doyenne consumed with art and fashion who begins to hatch a nefarious plan
Matt Bomer as Donovan: a villainous lady’s man apart of a love triangle between Elizabeth (Lady Gaga) and Tristan (Finn Wittrock), also heavily involved with Iris (Kathy Bates)
Cheyenne Jackson as Will Drake: a fashion icon who is desperate to reestablish himself in the industry so he may move his family from New York to Los Angeles
Wes Bentley as John Lowe: a detective investigating a series of grisly murders inside of the hotel
Kathy Bates as Iris: the villainous manager of the hotel with close relationships to Donovan (Matt Bomer), John Lowe (Wes Bentley) and Liz Taylor (Denis O’Hare) whilst having an ongoing conflict with Sally (Sarah Paulson)
Chloë Sevigny as Alex Lowe: the wife of Wes Bentley, a mother, and a doctor grieving the loss of a family member who struggles to regain footing in the wake of other events
Sarah Paulson as Hypodermic Sally: the very sexy “bad girl” resident of the hotel who is addicted to drugs, holds an “ancient” grudge against Iris (Kathy Bates), and has a budding relationship with John Lowe (Wes Bentley)
Evan Peters as Mr. March: an “absolute villain” residing in Room 64

PLOT AND SETTING:
Returning to Los Angeles, Hotel will be filmed in a six-story hotel building, with the storyline taking place in Los Angeles as well.
The hotel’s name is The Cortez Hotel.
The plot will operate under the “trapped” horror trope, similar to Murder House
Hotel will be more darker, grimmer, and horror-centric, similar to Murder House and Asylum
Hotel will tell stories and urban legends that have originated in downtown Los Angeles hotels
Characters from previous seasons will be staying in the Hotel, and will be making cameos around the middle of the season
Ryan Murphy will be directing the pilot as well as the Halloween two-parter
