Cody was destined for fame strictly based on his last name and who his father was. Growing up as the son of WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes wasn't always easy, Cody was expected to have greatness in everything. During his first run in WWE, Cody wasn't used to his full potential. He was a pawn in WWE's game and being moved around and around from personality to personality which ultimately tested his limits leading to his request for his release from the company back in 2016. Since then, Cody was the main event on the independent scene solely as himself and was able to show his full potential to a new set of fans that started to believe in him. Which then led to Cody becoming a founding member and executive producer of All Elite Wrestling. Cody was content with where his life was headed. Cody and his now ex-wife Brandi welcomed a beautiful baby girl Liberty who Cody loves with all of his heart. Cody and Brandi's marriage unfortunately ended due to multiple differences and countless problems that affected Liberty which led to Cody ultimately making the decision to leave AEW and go back to the company where it all started at, WWE. Currently, Cody is the WWE Undisputed Champion which is something he has fought so long for. He gets to live out his childhood dream - as well as a dream his dad never got to achieve - every single day.
