She’d been preparing for this day her entire life, today was her coronation as crowned princess. And Liberty was terrified, after today the whole kingdom would look to her for guidance, what if she wasn’t ready? What if she failed as a ruler? Mama and Papa were counting on her now.
Nervous she paced her chamber in her coronation gown, until there was a knock at the door that stopped her dead in her tracks.
“Come in.”
Peggy remembered when she was preparing for her coronation to be crowned a princess. She had sneaked out of the palace and met Steve. It was fate, but she had been so nervous about the coronation and the ceremony, she hadn’t noticed how enamored he was with her after she defended herself against a brute who thought he could touch her.
And here she was, now the queen, and getting to preform the ceremony for her own daughter. Hopefully she would be a better mother and guide than her own had been. Knocking on Liberty’s door, Peggy waited until she was given permission to enter, a courtesy that few others were given. Opening the door, she smiled. “Darling? How are you feeling?”
“Mama,” Liberty sighed in relief and went to embrace her mother. She’d always been close to her mother having her here before the ceremony was a comfort.
“Well, I haven’t escaped out the widow yet,” Liberty joked, ever trying to cover up her nerves.
“Were you this nervous for your coronation?”
Wrapping her arms around Liberty, Peggy smiled I to her hair. She was so glad that she and Liberty could be this close and be able to talk about anything that bothers her. It was something Peggy never had.
“I was,” she admitted. “I went out the window. That was how I met your father, actually. Some man thought he could mug me for my jewelry, and your dad couldn’t stop drooling when I punched the man. It helped with my nerves, I’ll tell you that much.”
“So are you suggesting I sneak out and punch someone?” Liberty asked amused her parents’ love story was a favorite story of Liberty’s as a girl. Hearing more about how they had met, made Liberty smile.
Peg laughed and kissed her daughter’s forehead. “Not a random person, but a deserving person, maybe, if you think it will calm you down. Don’t tell your dad I said that,” she teased playfully. “How can I help ease your mind?”
"Tell me... tell me that nothing is going to change. That it's all going to be alright, and that this ceremony changes nothing." Liberty said softly, Liberty knew it wasn't true, but she just wanted to hear her mother say it.

Endgame is the only movie where I didn’t figure out where Lib fits in... oops.
"Mummy, up!" (baby Lib)
Smiling, Peggy indulged Liberty and picked her up. “Hello my darling.”
Hugging her mother’s neck, the little girl pressed a kiss to her mother’s cheek. She was in a particular cuddly mood, she’d missed her mummy while she’d been at work today.
“I missed you.”
Peg cuddled her close. “I missed you too. How was your day? Tell me all about it.” Spending the evening with her family was her favorite part of every day. It wasn’t as ‘exciting’ as working at SHIELD, but she loved every moment with her loves.
“We painted pictures at school!” Liberty said brightly she loved school even if that meant that she didn’t get to spend as much time with her mummy and daddy.
“I painted you, and me and Daddy, my teacher really liked it and said it was beautiful!”
Peggy gave Liberty all her attention, and she smiled brightly as she listened to her. “You did? I hope I get to see it soon, I love your paintings, you are talented, just like your Daddy.”
“Teacher is going to hang up all our pictures for parents night,” Liberty informed her mother showing off her gap-toothed grin.
“Are you going to parent’s night or is it Daddy’s turn?”
“I think both Daddy and I will be there,” she told Lib. Peggy had ensured that her schedule was cleared so that she could be at her daughter’s parent’s night.
“Where is Daddy?” The little girl asked as if just noticing her father’s absence, she was excited to tell him all about her painting. And how she stuck up for another little boy on the playground without having to fight anyone.
“Will he be home, to help tuck me in?”
"Mummy!" The pathetic wail of a little girl waking from a nightmare ripped through the quiet apartment, followed by sobbing.
Peggy sat up with a start, hearing her daughter’s voice. She didn’t even stop to grab her robe as she ran across the hall to turn the light on.
“Darling, darling, what’s wrong?” she asked.
“Yeah,” Liberty said softly wrapping her arms around her mother’s neck and hugging the teddy bear in the crook of her arm. She was already feeling sleepy again, her eyelids drooping.
“Will you tell me a story, Mummy?”
Peggy carried Libby back to bed, and climbed in next to her. “What kind of story would you like?” she asked with a yawn.
“When you fell in love with Daddy,” Liberty said glancing over the where her daddy’s framed picture sat, just making out his shape in the darkness.
“Daddy loves me even though he’s not here, right?”

Snuggling into her mother, Libby reached for her favorite teddy bear that was her sleeping partner.
“Good, I wanna stay with you forever, Mummy. I love you.”
“I love you too, darling,” said Peggy. “Would you like to come back to bed with me?” It would probably help Libby feel safe.
“Yeah,” Liberty said softly wrapping her arms around her mother’s neck and hugging the teddy bear in the crook of her arm. She was already feeling sleepy again, her eyelids drooping.

“The bad men came and took me away from you.” Liberty whimpered, she was already feeling a little bit better having her mother hold her.
“You won’t let them take me, will you?”
“Of course not, my dear,” said Peggy, shivering a little at the thought. “Nobody’s going to take you away from me, never. I’m right here.”
Snuggling into her mother, Libby reached for her favorite teddy bear that was her sleeping partner.
“Good, I wanna stay with you forever, Mummy. I love you.”
"Mummy, I love you!"
“And I love you more, my sweet girl.” Liberty’s face is peppered all over with mommy kisses.
Giggling, the little girl snuggled into her mother’s body. She loved her mother and sometimes became quiet cuddly when she wanted attention.
“Well, I love you this much!” Liberty said holding her arms out as wide as they could go.

Did Tony and Bug guy really just comment on dad’s ass?”
Bam laughed, from where she was listening in to the avenger’s comms, even through the time issues they’d rigged it so she could hear. something about a pocket… time? somehow safer, but she could moniter them all at once, with her cousin by her side.
“yeah, i think so. he’s weird. google it, i wanna see if he’s right, though.”
“I am not googling my dad’s ass, you’re so weird!” Liberty said giving her cousin a playful shove. So they weren’t really cousins, but close enough, maybe close enough to be sisters at times.
“And don’t you google it either!”
