It has been a long, treacherous almost 4 years but I did it. I am a person that has difficulty thinking about the speed of time passing, and this journey has certainly helped ease that. I can't help but reflect on where i was (almost) 4 years ago. I was starting high school, I had just come out as trans, and I swore I wouldn't make it another 2 years. Now I've just started college and I can't imagine giving up on myself like that again.

I don't want to say this journey taught me things always get better, but rather that things always change. In becoming Gerita I learned to cope being in some of the dangerous situations I was in, and build a love for myself and people that is so powerful. Today I practice Italy's kindness to all alongside Germany's confidence in himself. I certainly recommend this journey or one like it for anyone in need of a change.
