“The more familiar two people become, the more the language they speak together departs from that of the ordinary, dictionary-defined discourse. Familiarity creates a new language, an in-house language of intimacy that carries reference to the story the two lovers are weaving together and that cannot be readily understood by others.”
— Alain de Botton, On Love (via mesogeios)
It’s okay to be a beginner at the things you are interested in. There is no reason to feel intimidated by people more advanced than you are, because they too were in your place at one point. Keep learning and growing and expanding in whatever it is that you love and let nothing and no one stop you. You don’t have to be at the same stage as someone else. You can just be at your stage and that one is okay too.
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalms 139:23-24
I am struck today with the peace that comes with trusting in God and His plan. The peace that comes with the knowledge that God’s plan is unchangeable, God’s plan is full of good towards us, and that God’s plan is perfect. God did not promise us a life without pain, without confusion, without heartache and despair and loss, but God did promise us that He loves us, that He is our foundation, that He is there beside us. We can trust in His penmanship over our lives. It amazes me, comforts me. We can rest fully in God. We can find peace in God, in the midst of any circumstance. Even when I can’t see God’s plan, I can trust in God. I am so, so thankful for my God. May I show it always.

let us always remember Who our first love is, and that is Jesus.❤️ Sisters, take a moment to spend intimate time with Him today. Thank Him & praise Him for the many ways He powerfully demonstrates His love for you. Pour out your heart in love and awe of who He is and who He has been and who He will continue to be. He is your anchor, your rock, your portion.
He lavishes His love upon us daily, not just on Valentine’s Day.
