Daniel Whittle received the inspiration for his song, “There shall be showers of blessing” from the book of Ezekiel. “I will send the showers in season. There will be showers of blessing.” (Ezekiel 34:26) Like Whittle, we all desire blessings in our lives. God wants to bless His people. But we must trust God and obey His word at all times. In times of drought let us trust Him even more. Maybe, drops of mercy are falling now. But wait for the showers. It will soon come. This shower is symbolic of more than just the rain that falls to the earth. It symbolizes the good things that God wants to bring into the lives of those who love and serve Him. Thank You Jesus for the promise of blessing in my life!

1 Samuel 4:3 'Let us bring back the ark of the covenant of the LORD!'

The Ark of the Covenant represented the presence of God to the nation of Israel. They knew that without His presence in their lives they were lost. They did everything in their power to make sure His presence was with them.They carried the ark wherever they went. You and I cannot do without the Lord and His presence in our daily lives. Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, His presence dwells within us. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I recognise that I need You and Your presence in my life. I invite you to be the Lord and Saviour of my life. Amen.

The Lord is faithful to guide your next step. You just have to show that faith back by trusting Him even when the way ahead is unclear because He already sees what you can’t.
