About what?
“Being born a woman is an awful tragedy. Yes, my consuming desire to mingle with road crews, sailors and soldiers, bar room regulars—to be a part of a scene, anonymous, listening, recording —all is spoiled by the fact that I am a girl, a female always in danger of assault and battery. My consuming interest in men and their lives is often misconstrued as a desire to seduce them, or as an invitation to intimacy. Yet, God, I want to talk to everybody I can as deeply as I can. I want to be able to sleep in an open field, to travel west, to walk freely at night.”

Yes, Your Preference is [Blank]phobic.
A read, by me to you, about how preferences don’t exist in a vacuum.
Might fuck around and create a fantasy world in my mind to distract myself from the pressures of reality.

i need to know... does anyone else view love and relationships from a really analytical viewpoint? the way people talk about falling deliriously in love to the point of blindness has never made a lick of sense to me. people tend to show you who they are early, even if it’s only hints. when people change, it’s noticeable and there’s always a reason why. ignoring who a person has shown you they are to validate your love for them just... makes no sense. if i’m choosing to keep someone in my life, it’s almost never just been “because i love them so much that i’ll excuse anything.” i’ve made a decision based on the fact that they ultimately are capable of change (if they need to change), and their pros outweigh their cons. also, the cons are never huge things that are forcing me to compromise myself, my morals, or my wants in life. they are someone that i love, genuinely, but (almost as importantly) they’re the person i see helping me meet my end goals in life. am i insane???
