Most black girls experience this hatred at schools. And classmates are not the only problem, there is no support from teachers, too. That’s why they get so affected by their school experiences. Black kids deserve to be treated just like everybody else, they want to study, they want to learn something ,too. However due to prejudice they are 5 times more likely to be suspended than their white peers and it can ruin their lives forever.  National Women’s Law Center created this video to change the situation. “When asked why she is little known and why everyone thinks only of Rosa Parks, Colvin says the NAACP and all the other black organizations felt Parks would be a good icon because “She was an adult. They didn’t think teenagers would be reliable.”

She also says Parks had the right hair and the right look. “Her skin texture was the kind that people associate with the middle class,” says Colvin. “She fit that profile.”

Also, there were other black women who refused to give up their seats but were “quietly fined.” Unfortunately, their stories never made headlines. (source)

I think I just experienced my worst customer in all my time working retail, let me explain.

This kid who’s about 20 years old comes up to me and asks me where I go to college as I’m ringing him up. As I continue to tell him I do not go to college at the moment, he goes on to tell me about his college. He goes to Pace University in NYC.

He then says “I don’t really like it there, there’s too much diversity. I’m not used to it so I don’t really like it.” At this point I’m a bit confused, in my head I’m thinking maybe he’s talking about how there’s a bunch of different classes or something like that. I tired giving him the benefit of the doubt before thinking he’s a genuine piece of shit.

BOY WAS I WRONG

He then goes on to say “you know there’s too many Muslims there, they’re all over I don’t feel safe. I feel constantly in danger when I see a muslim person, I don’t want to die.” At this point I’m just trying to rush this horrible piece of shit out of my store.

He then says “that’s why I wanted Trump to win because he makes him feel safe unlike anyone else who ran. Who did you want to win?” Now I’m in complete shock and could barely say anything, I mumbled out that I was supporting Bernie in the beginning. He then called me a Communist for that.

Holy shit He goes to college in NYC?? There is literally so much diversity in NYC though?? Like hit up Harlem, the Bronx, etc. Like, go to Flushing, Queens, you got a whole Korean and Chinese population right there. Like, has he opened his eyes? I have never in my entire life, being from the tristate area myself, walked through Time Square, Penn Station, or Port Authority WITHOUT seeing at least three people from various different ethnicities within 50 feet of me.
