@qvru has a run-in with pro hero, Loud Cloud ! ↪︎ starter call ;; superpowers edition
Oboro wasn’t the 𝔟𝔦𝔤𝔤𝔢𝔰𝔱 fan when it came to working nights.
It was a 𝔠𝔬𝔪𝔪𝔬𝔫 occurrence, what with the nature of the work that his agency was often involved in, but it still left the cloud-based hero 𝔬𝔣𝔣 whenever he had to roll out of bed for any shift opposite the sun. But despite his hesitations, he knew it was important enough work not to put it off and huffily pulled himself up out of bed and started getting ready to go out. The telltale 𝔰𝔫𝔞𝔭 of his goggles settling into place marked the final piece before his hero costume came together and he gave himself a 𝔟𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔡𝔦𝔫𝔤 smile in the mirror that helped somewhat in covering up the sleepiness still clinging to his frame.
On his way out that he spared his partner a call, letting the other know that he was on the job and looking for a refresher about 𝔴𝔥𝔞𝔱 exactly he was going out for. Apparently, there had been strange occurrences happening in the district he was headed towards; 𝔖𝔢𝔳𝔢𝔯𝔞𝔩 cases had popped up of people whose bodies started rotting away. The hope was that talking to some of the locals might help him better track down whomever possessed such a quirk. If they could get a lead to follow, then they could make more 𝔰𝔢𝔯𝔦𝔬𝔲𝔰 movements going forward.
He’d wandered the streets like he was running a normal patrol, telling the few elder residents that stopped him that he was covering for the hero who 𝔲𝔰𝔲𝔞𝔩𝔩𝔶 ran this part of Musutafu. Most of them let him off with an affectionate gratitude for his hard work or a warning not to cause any 𝔱𝔯𝔬𝔲𝔟𝔩𝔢 from the more crotchety ones. As it got later, he had run into fewer and fewer people, until the streets had become almost 𝔡𝔢𝔞𝔡.
Imagine his surprise, then, when he heard some 𝔫𝔬𝔦𝔰𝔢 come from down a dark alley as he passed it. His brow furrowed, wondering 𝔴𝔥𝔬 could be causing trouble here at this hour. Suspecting it to just be some teenager out passed curfew, he called out to them as he circled back to investigate. ❝ Hello? Who’s down here? ❞
