A genuinely happy selfie!

Right now I feel really great. I’m not sure why. It’s a really good feeling, I like it a lot and it’s just a great night. I just got back from NZ and met the best people ever, I have exams tomorrow and i’ve hardly studied but i still feel confident and i’m just staying positive throughout it! This morning I woke up and didn’t feel the need to straighten my hair or put make-up on, it’s the first time i’ve felt like that since i started wearing it (3 years ago) I liked the way my skin looked even though it’s not that great and yet I still smiled because it’s making really good progress!

I guess lately (and throughout my life) I’ve never been incredibly happy with anything and I told people they need to be happy but was incredibly hypocritical because I could never be happy with myself. And although i still don’t love myself or anything, this is just one happy day at a time to getting there! (This is so cheesy sorry)

I spent my day studying a bit, drinking lots of water, and talking to some friends! I met a boy who said he would kill a spider for me if we were ever in that situation because it would make me happy. It’s something small but it was cute! Made me smile :) A stranger on the train complimented me on my eyebrows and I said her fashion taste was amazing! It’s not like i climbed mount everest or broke a world record or anything, but today was just a genuinely happy day! 

So I took one of the only smiling selfies I have, and it made me realise that you don’t have to be self-obsessed to be happy with your life! And there’s no point being sad in life because it doesn’t do anything to help! So yeah just thought i’d share my little story with everyone because I want you guys to be happy and realise that you can be happy without feeling guilty! So yeah love ya xx

the few times I’ve gone snorkelling this is the most intensely scary but amazing thing about it, the bit where the reef ends and it suddenly just drops off and you cant see the bottom or what’s down there, and you swim over the edge and suddenly your in open water, and you feel so vulnerable like you’re a fish that lives on the reef, and you finally understand finding nemo
