Drop Cap’s I used in my webpage for Jessica Hische. I used these in my webpage in order to incorporate her designs and work into the webpage I created about her. I went with a theme of green and nature style colours in order to tie the Drop Caps in with the colour scheme of the webpage.

We then have to design a single page website either in the design similar to that of our chosen artist or in a design of our own creation. Our essay would then be the content for this webpage along with photographs and images of our chosen designers work.
After much research I have decided to use Jessica Hische as my chosen artist for my essay as I love her lettering work as well as the posters and the images she creates.
Jessica Hische
Jessica Hische (born Jessica Nicole Hische, 1984) is an American letterer, illustrator, and type designer. She is best known for her personal projects, 'Daily Drop Cap', and the 'Should I Work for Free' flowchart. She published "In Progress: See Inside a Lettering Artist's Sketchbook and Process, from Pencil to Vector" in September 2015, which gives insight to her creative process and work she has completed as a hand lettering artist. She splits her time between San Francisco, CA and Brooklyn, NY.

Marian Bantjes
Marian Bantjes (born 1963) is a Canadian designer, artist, illustrator, typographer and writer. Her work has been featured in STEP, étapes (Paris), Azure, Matrix (Quebec) Tupigrafia (Brazil) and Print, Fontshop's Font 004, and Eye magazine (#58). She has written the design book "I wonder", published by the Monacelli Press, which was dubbed one of the 13 best design books of 2010 by Fastco design. Bantjes has been honored with numerous awards and her work is now part of the permanent collection at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.
