School Shooting 2/1/18

A twelve-year-old female student at Sal Castro Middle School in Los Angeles, California began shooting just before 9 A.M. on February 1st, 2018. The police were notified at 8:55 A.M. and the unnamed suspect, who was armed with a semiautomatic, is in custody. All four victims are stable, two with minor wounds. One girl was shot in the wrist and a boy was shot in the head. The shooting took place in her electives class and no motive is known. There were no fatalities.

I thought Atypical was really great as well. I put off watching it for a while because I thought it was gonna be another Forest Gump or some shit like Jerry Seinfeld's self diagnosis. Although the acting was quite terrible, and the mother was an unbearable character, It did a great fucking job of just being real about Aspergers. Oh and I didnt have a question, I just couldn't resist clicking on "have you seen chef?"

I know right the mother is infuriating! i honestly feel like they captured the elements of high functioning autism of it so well as i relate so 90% of it (like i said previously not everyone with high functioning autism have the same ‘problem’ but those are definitely the central ones) i wish they would talk about order more because if someone sits at my seat in the car, dinner table, etc. i will have a fit and i relies how stupid it is because i am a logical person but i would to see it touched upon in the show.

The actors preparing for their roles are given strict instructions to only focus on, and worry about, the play within the 24-hour timeframe. “I didn’t think about it. I literally didn’t think about this until today,” Daveed Diggs, who played the role of Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda in the original run of Hamilton, tells The Creators Project. “Because in the structure of this it tells you that we are only working on this for 24 hours, and I have plenty of other things to think about, so I was not going to think about it until I showed up.” When asked if he thought any other medium could move and respond to the world around it as quickly as a 24 Hour Play, Diggs replies, “It’s this, and hip-hop diss songs. That’s the only thing that moves this fast. But this is so collaborative and there are so many brilliant, really accomplished artists just trying to focus on this one thing. I looked at my cell phone less in the last 24 hours than I have in a long time. You’re so focused.”
