āIsnāt that SHINeeās Onew stuck all over your monitor?ā he asked glancing at the post-its taped to the edges of my computer screen.Ā
āYou recognized him?ā I askedĀ staring at my doodles, equal parts mortified and proud.Ā
āYeah, you drew him well,āĀ Ā
āHeās got a great voice,ā I declared almost defiantly, straightening out one of the post-its.
āYes, he does,āĀ he said coming closer.Ā āDid you go their Vancouver concert?ā
āYES!ā I exclaimed, immediately perking up. He wouldnāt be asking me this if he was going to be dismissive.Ā āI also went to their Tokyo Dome concert last year.ā
We then spend the next 10 minutes talking about SHINee, voices, and music in general. And I found out he didnāt really follow kpop, but was somehow familiar enough to name everyone in the band. Which made me think, that SHINee must be at that level of popularity that even casual observer ofĀ kpop knew them. It made me think they were one of those names that just cropped up even if you didnāt follow them.Ā
Iām really hoping I can finally have someone to spazz over SHINee irl occasionally. lol!Ā
