I want to dive into fixing up the Bounty, since expanding the timeline adds some "realism" and helps explain how the hell Lloyd got to all th Serpentine in a single episode. The problem is that I'm getting lost in the amount I want to add. idk how to describe fixing machines I have to have fixed. idk how to exactly bullshit how the ninja get all the items and money to do this. idk how to merge it with the story! gahhhhhhhh if you don't mind spoilers, here's what im trying to do-
so, basically, An is in charge of the the bounty's renovations.
We need to update the plumbing (even in the show Jay gets dirt out of a sink) which means updating the pipes, faucets, and drains. also the water reserve, and where to put the Bad Water vs Good Water.
In the show, Jay turns out the power system with his nunchucks. i kinda want it so that there's more to do than just shock it back alive.
Also updating sockets and wires, insulating the walls, etc.
Appliances need to be fixed. I'm assuming they have a fridge and stove, also a washer and dryer, but I want them to go out and buy a microwave.
The show has a dining room above the ship, where I assume a kitchen is below some stairs. so i want to have An add a kitchenette area, by building or buying tables.
Storage, shelves, and whether they are built or bought like the table.
Where to keep An's bike, and the mechanical things Nya does. So far I say below deck, whatever that means.
boat-grade anti-water paint
Lumber to fix holes in the boat, like the hole Zane made.
I want to dive into various shopping trips and the struggle of restarting a new life. Also I have a few ideas that An runs the bounty's storage like the navy. she keeps meticulous track of what she has in the storage room, what she needs to buy, what's in the fridge, etc. It also sounds like a good place for character development, but I'm getting mixed up in what pattern An goes out shopping or sends someone shopping, to when An or someone else fixes things, to when things are fixed and what that allows the group to do.
I spent a lot of time writing/rewriting this and I've confused myself. I clearly have no idea how to renovate a boat beyond abstract ideal, much less how to write it. But I want to be able to, I want to write this...
