okay so anyone who follows me knows I am always always always bitching about artists depictions of trans women but like holy shiiiit this is REALLY good. Like soooo much art that isnt by trans women fall into two camps of "draw a cis woman and later say shes trans" or "draw the most virulently transmisogynistic caricature possible" but this piece is just so..... real? Being a young adult is so strange. You enter a coffee shop. The 20 year old girl waiting behind you cried all night because she just came to a new city for university and she feels so alone. That 27 year old guy over there works a job he is overqualified for, he lives with his parents and wants to move out but doesn't know what to do about it. That one 24 year old dude already has a car, a house, and a job waiting for him once he graduates thanks to his dad's connections. When I was a little boy, girls used to just do random cartwheels for no reason. Then one day, they stopped. Now that I am a man, no women randomly do cartwheels. One time I came home from uni very upset and my younger siblings asked what's wrong. I said that mutated flies in our lab escaped because someone broke their jar. I didn't even realise how scary it sounded to them until I saw their faces lmao. I was upset because we were short on said flies (they don't reproduce very well) and my siblings thought that some crazy radioactive fly monsters escaped and we are all fucked now. As much of a Peanuts fan I am, I realized one day that I've never read the whole comic. It's one of, if not the longest story ever told. It's interesting how it aged along with its artist.

If I didn’t remember actually reading this in an actual Calvin and Hobbes book as a child I’d think it was ironically photoshopped like those comics where Mickey Mouse and Goofy talk about how reality is an illusion but this comic strip was actually just……. already………… like that……………

on my calvin and hobbes post someone mentions how you can see how Calvin is a reflection of his parents, and here it takes the form of Calvin’s Mom objecting to him buying the album on moral grounds; not because the band are devil-worshippers, but rather because they’re corporate posers who are only pretending to be devil-worshippers

something I really enjoy is that I've now seen like 4 or 5 variations of roughly this same video, all slightly different in their angles and timing while obviously being the exact same bunny and room, implying that this is a consistent and frequent behavior for this bunny instead of just a funny thing it did once that got caught on camera. I wish I could have as much raw unfiltered enthusiasm for anything as this little rabbit has for its dinnertime
