I cannot count the amount of journals or diaries, whatever people call them, that I have had throughout my life. My friends have always informed me that my writing could change peoples lives and out look on the world. When I do take the time to write, I just honestly jot down all the words and feelings that come to my head at that moment. So I wanted to start sharing with the world all the thoughts that run through my mind. Trust me, I know I am not an award winning author, all the stuff I write is easy to read and simple. I write for the youth and my generation that is still growing up at twenty years old. I don’t know where my life is going to take me, I’m almost twenty and I have no clue where I will be five years from now or just tonight. None of us know. But these past few months I started traveling a little more and meeting great life long friends that I have learned from and that gave me ideas and learned some advice. I learned that if you have a dream, you need to go for it. Don’t pay no mind to what society expects from you, if you have a dream that keeps you up at night and that scares you, go for it. Nothing can stop you, you’re the only one that can stop yourself. I grew up in a small town and around a huge foreign family, don’t get me wrong I’m so thankful for them and I love them dearly. But I was raised thinking I had to go to college and get a degree then get married and have two kids with a cute little house gated around a white picket fence. I thought where I was from was where I was going to stay, just because I was ‘comfortable’ here and that was where home was. I started realizing after my first semester of college, I didn’t want to live my life that way. I came back home after christmas break and never went back. All the goals I want to accomplish, I knew I didn’t need school for it. Don’t twist my words, I think school is great and I think it really helps a lot of people to open up opportunities. I’m so proud of all my friends that are still going to school currently and I’ll be there to support them when they graduate. But for me, school wasn’t my route. I’m still accomplishing my small goals to get to my big goals and I thought this blog would help me keep my thoughts on track and let the world follow me through my journey of everything that happens.
