It is deeply saddening to know that upwards of 90% of babies with down syndrome are killed even before they are born. While it is important to fight for women’s rights and various other social issues, the U.S. Declaration of Independence explicitly lists “life” as the first unalienable right. But more importantly, it is a Biblical truth that all people, including those in the womb, are created in the image of God, woven together by the One who has made all things. There is no justification nor excuse to destroy an image-bearer of God, simply because our society deems their life on earth to be too troublesome and difficult for their caretakers or for the baby.

For my pro-choice Christian friends, why is it that no one is condemning the absolute wickedness and evil proposed by this lawmaker (backed by Virginia governor)?? How can women be fighting for the legalization of murdering a precious baby just moments before birth? This is sickening and I’m very disappointed by the silence of the Christians on the left side of the political spectrum.

O God, have mercy on us.
