silver-humanxx:
Silver made a face and rolled his eyes as the other spoke. “I know that. But aren’t you supposed to start small and work your way up to bigger things?” The boy always thought it was best. And everything he read said the same.
Looking at the glass he sighed and got down from the counter. Getting down on the ground he carefully picked up the pieces. While the other was the one that created the mess, Silver knew there were some things he’d have to do in order to appease the man and keep on his good side so he would teach a silver to fight. “Why are you making dinner of your husband doesn’t eat? Do you even eat?” Honestly he wasn’t used to others eating since most of the people he knew were some form of non human food eating species.
.
Taking things slow? How horribly boring and mundane. If this little human wanted to spend his limited time on Earth being mediocre before he got too old to be effective River was going to seriously regret this.
The reaper watched Silver clean the glass and water a bit impassively as he thought, though the question seemed to snap him back to reality. Perhaps their routine would strike others as odd but it had been so long that it felt natural. Even on his own River had maintained a strict schedule with meal times and he’d found himself cooking for two before he remembered he was alone more than once. “We don’t need to eat but that doesn’t mean we don’t. What sort of wife would I be if I didn’t provide that option. Anymore questions about my personal life we should get out of the way?”
nicoxpalmer:
Nico was well aware that River was uncollared and although that definitely changed the wendigo’s approach but that wasn’t going to stop the curly haired boy from having his fun. “You look good strung up like this. I can see why your master likes you.” He hums.
At River’s response, he snorted and shook his head as he watched the other. “That’s not necessary. I don’t want your screams and cries to be forced, it’s much more fun when they just slip out.” He purrs and drags his tongue across the others skin as he tastes him, a full body shudder coming soon after and he grins. “Too late. I’m going to hurt you.” He laughs and slaps River across his face.
Part of River wanted to cheekily comment on how he doubted Felix could coax a real scream from him. No one but Syd had been able to do so since his perspective on pain had changed. Just as the reaper opened his mouth he was slapped across the face, the force splitting his bottom lip and pooling his own blood in his mouth.
The surprise caused him to gasp, but the sting of his cheek and his split lip only had River shivering a bit. He hadn’t thought Felix was the type to play with his food but there had to be something to replace the thrill of the hunt. “Interesting~ If I didn’t know any better I’d think you were trying to seduce me Felix. You know I’m married.”
silver-humanxx:
“Leave it behind?” Silver asked confused as he stared at the other trying to figure out what he meant. But so far he didn’t like the lack of faith in his abilities. But Silver did know he wasn’t great at much currently. But it was when the other spoke again that had Silver pushing his hand with the glass away. “I don’t like the over amount of blood and gore. A little blood isn’t bad. But I am not cutting my hand open. I don’t like pain either.” He still had the trauma from Finn in the future. “I’ve felt the worst pain and seen the worst messes and I need to deal with that.” He swallowed thickly as he the reminder of the punishment Cain once gave him surfaced. “Can we just do some fighting today?”
.
“Nothing I teach you will matter if you’re still flinching away from the idea of getting hurt. Pain, blood, gore - you’re gonna see those things if you fight idiot.” River tossed the shard onto the floor with the rest of the broken glass and pushed himself up to sit on the countertop. Most people probably fought with more restraint than River did - he had been born a demon and he only had vague memories of a time before he was so indifferent to pain - but maybe he could still be a good teacher.
The human simply needed some... encouragement. Yes. Certainly with the right experiences concentrated in intensity and duration this human could reframe his mindset when it came to pain. “Clean this up. I have to cook dinner in an hour and I don’t need this in the way.”
silver-humanxx:
“You expect me to keep count?” The human asked waiting for the other to speak further. Wow Syd could actually keep someone that long? What a pity. The blonde was equally as attractive as Syd. So why he wasn’t around before baffled Silver. Perhaps he’d been nicer to the vampire if he acted the way his husband was. He watched curiously as the other picked up a piece of glass. “Well that’s where you’re wrong. I may not know him like you, but I do know how to trade and we’d eventually come to an agreement. Why?” Silver asked not sure if he wanted to take the glass or not. “I’m not going to fight you. Nor will I attempt to in case you’re trying to frame me so Syd can rip my head off.”
.
That response had River laughing once again, much harder this time. He was wiping unshed tears from his eyes when he finally settled with an amused grin still on his face. This was going to be fun. The first thing they’d need to deal with was that silly naivete.
“Even if I wanted to do something like that, Syd would never believe that you could put a scratch on me that I didn’t ask for. You’ve got a lot of training before you maybe get there. And you’ll certainly have to leave this pathetic human body of yours behind.” River shoved the shard towards Silver once more, being careful not to cut the human. “You said you don’t like the sight of blood right? You’re going to cut your palm and let it drip. Then you’re going to clean this shit up and I’ll show you my fighting style.”
silver-humanxx:
Silver jumped when the glass was knocked from his hand and shattered on the ground. The water sitting there just waiting for one of them to slip. He then looked back at the other with furrowed brows. “I could say the same about you? Since when did Syd have a husband? Or even a slave? That man is like well known for being a prick with a stick so far up his ass it prevents him from having a boner. As far as I’m aware you’re the first person he’s let stay longer than a night without being sent to the doc for being tortured.” He couldn’t imagine this guy not knowing any of that.“First off, I’m Silver. Obviously human, obviously a bit of a….wild card. Met Syd a while ago, don’t actually remember how the first meeting went. But recently I asked him if he’d let me make Christmas cookies and he said yes. But that prick thought it funny to push my limits and make me cry and get angry. Leading to him hanging over his knife. Which I threw the bowl of flour at him and took the knife and hide under the bed. I planned to stab him in the thigh with it, but that didn’t go as planned. Then he tossed me out.” Silver looked the other over as if to ask if he was satisfied with that answer. Perhaps it would be useful info to hold onto Syd being married. Perhaps that would be something he wouldn’t want published. In a paper. Hung on every wall in the castle. With photos. Yes, Silver would file this away for future need.
.
“That was way more than 20 words.” River leaned back against another counter and crossed his arms as he looked the little human over. This could be an entertaining way to spend some time and being locked away in this castle was so dreadfully boring for the reaper.
“First - we’ve been married for over three thousand years. I’ve been in Ireland for the last three years.” What he wouldn’t give to be back there now. Then this could really be fun. He leaned to pick up one of the larger shards of glass, uncaring as it cut his fingers. River held the shard out towards Silver with an impassive expression. “Second - you don’t know him nearly as well as you think you do. Unless you have something entertaining or worthy of trade I doubt he’d teach you. I, however, think teaching you would be worthy entertainment itself. Now take this.”
silver-humanxx:
Silver wasn’t sure why the other was laughing, but he could take a guess. Entering the suite he wondered if this man was a claim or something. “He’s tried before, sort of. Well… maybe I tried? But not very well.” Silver replied not sure how much this blonde man knew. Still he moved to the one cupboard and grabbed a glass before getting some water. He hopped up on the counter to sit as he brought the glass to his lips for a drink. “Besides, I think he would be more amused by effort, or rather my terrible attempt.”
.
River watched him carefully but all of his amusement and curiosity quickly turned to anger. How did this slave know exactly which cupboard to go to? And why did he feel comfortable acting so casually. Before the glass could reach the human’s lips River was reaching out to slap it out of his hand, not caring if it shattered on the kitchen floor.
“You’re awfully familiar with this suite and my husband. You have 20 words to explain and convince me not to snap your neck right here and now. I’ll serve him your head for dinner without hesitation if I don’t like your answer and happily deal with the aftermath.”
silver-humanxx:
“Show? Ew no. Syd is the worst. But he’s strong. And he knows how to fight. Which is why I’m here. I want him to tach me to fight. To be fast and steady. To know all the weak spots and how to…to….. I don’t like a lot of blood. The smell and the chunky stuff makes me sick. I need to learn how to get over that.” The human looks at the other hoping he hadn’t bothered him.
.
River couldn’t help the laugh that escaped his lips when he heard the other slave’s request. Imagining Syd teaching someone how to fight... this soft little human wouldn’t last an hour when faced with his husband’s knife. Still, River moved aside so he could enter their suite and closed the door behind him.
Part of the reaper wanted to watch him get torn apart. He would be even more beautiful covered in lines of red. But the little green monster inside of him wanted to keep him as far from Syd as possible. “You know he’d kill you right?”
silver-humanxx:
Silver awoke suddenly and with tears in his eyes. Had it been a dream? Was it a premonition? After a few moments of calming down and talking to others he learned it had been what the future could have been. That was a fear. Silver say there for hours memorizing every detail. Writing it all down. Making sure to take side notes too. With a sigh he stood and waited for his free hour. When it came the boy made a quick run for Syd’s suite. If he had actually managed to do what he did in the vision then he needed protection. Or rather to protect himself. There might still be people kissed at him for killing the first vampire. And he didn’t want to see Faust or even talk to him. His only hope was begging the master who he had attacked to help him train and learn something. When he arrived Silver banged on the door. “Syd! Syd open up please. I want to make a deal okay? I promise I won’t attack you this time.”
@anathairsa
,
“Do you normally just start screaming as soon as you bang on a door or is this a special show for my husband?” River leaned against the door frame and looked the small slave up and down with a raised brow.
He had been mind his own business in the blissful quite of the empty suite when the sound of someone banging on the door disrupted his cooking. He couldn’t think of anyone who would be so brazen but he had only spent a few weeks at the castle thusfar.
So he found himself staring down at this pathetic display with disdain writ clear on his face. The stranger was cute in a cloying sweet way but the reaper was, as always, instantly defensive when anyone wished to speak with Syd.
nicoxpalmer:
“The handcuffs aren’t going to break, they were built with a lot stronger creatures then you or I in mind.” he purrs as he tosses some toys aside that he deemed not wanted at the moment. He pulled out a lighter, stared at it for a moment then put it in his pocket, deeming that he would use it on the suspended boy. “I won’t tell him if you don’t.” He grins as he turns around with a knife, a whip and a few other devices in his hands.
“Don’t be impatient, baby. I want to make this experience worth while. I want to remember the screams that I’m going to extract from you.” He winks and twirls the knife around his finger before cutting River across his chest and leans in to lick up the pooling blood. “Fuck, you taste good.”
.
River didn’t bother pointing out that the people in his position were typically collared, and he was not. Syd seemed uninterested in collaring him after they made up and the reaper had yet to bring up the idea of trying it out for a night of fun just yet. There was no one he would trust with that sort of body except for Syd but this... this level was acceptable.
“Is that what you’d like me to do? I can scream and cry if that would make it better for you.” River closed his eyes, gasping as the knife cut across his chest, followed by Felix’s tongue. He suppressed a shudder and instead forced enough tears forward so that his vision was blurry with them by the time his blue eyes opened. “Please don’t hurt me Felix~”

It was an interesting dynamic to learn about as it unfolded before him in such a way that had him incredibly curious. As an outsider there were things that some could find alarming, but with the long war that was thirty years gone had changed the way he felt and thought. Nor did he want to cause any issues for himself, mainly, but also for his friend River. Whatever that may be he wasn’t even sure himself. He’d shift his focus on the husband and towards the name he didn’t recognize.
A wendigo, not something he’s run into very often out in the wild himself, but it didn’t surprise him that they kept him the way they did. Picking up entirely on the slip of the word, a small smirk formed at the corners of his lips. “Too bad he isn’t here.” He hummed, although who they found instead was proving to be entirely entertaining to him. It was bound to happen eventually. “Don’t think that’s a bad idea at all, River. Prove myself further, no?”
@theprinceofwrath
Quicker than a flash did River have Syd’s attention after that slip up of his. No words were needed for the tribrid to know that his wife had been outright lying the second the words left his mouth thanks to their link. It appeared not everything had changed since the two of them had separated, River was still bad at blocking Syd out as he had always been. Still, he said nothing and chose to save it for later when Ember wasn’t around.
“A phoenix, huh? You sure know how to pick ‘em, don’t you, babe?” He tossed a knowing smile River’s way. Syd knew it wasn’t intentional but he still found it amusing that his friend happened to be the wendigo’s favorite type of meat. Just because his species had changed didn’t mean his taste for phoenixes had too. But the situation only became even more hilarious to him when River suggested going on a hunt, beginning to wonder if there really was an ulterior motive to his wife’s friendship with Ember. “Oh, you’ll need to do more than show off your hunting skills to impress me, darlin’,” Syd said with a forced smile.
@anathairsa
.
River’s eyes narrowed as his husband spoke, already knowing his train of thought with those words. This was exactly why he had been careful not to tell Syd about Ember and now that the phoenix was in his sights he worried if Ember would be able to escape a nasty fate. He was unused to having friends, or actually caring if anything happened to them beyond whatever he needed them for. The fact that the reaper cared would only make matters worse.
“After the festivities are over we could find a new mark. I’m sure it wouldn’t be too suspicious if ‘Master Caz’ spent a bit of time away from the castle after an exhausting event.” River leaned closer until he could bump shoulders with Syd, reaching out to grab his arm lightly as if he could somehow hold him back. “You don’t need to prove yourself Ember. You’ve saved my ass enough times to prove how capable you are.”

taryn-bannon:
Whereas Taryn wasn’t bad with dogs, the size of the wolfish looking canines before him definitely had him taking a step or two back. “Oh…. And what kind of competition is that?” He asked, more to himself but out loud as well. A little nerve wracked, he had some inkling someone wasn’t going to do well in this. But of course, he met the gaze of the other and waited on baited breath, ready to run.
River handed the nervous boy one of the leashes, seemingly oblivious to his feelings as he lead the five of them away from the kennels.
“You and I are going to take bets to see who can catch the merman faster, Maia or Scar.” The reaper gave Maia’s head a pat then stopped when they’d reached a bit of free space. River leaned down to unclip the leash from Maia’s collar first, then moved do the same to Scar. They both watched him carefully as he looked to Taryn. “What do you think? My bet’s on Maia.”
ofembxrs:
He kept close as they ascended the stairs not wanting to drag behind for one reason or another. Even if he’d wanted to spend some time idling about, taking a looking at everything, but time was not going to stop for him to do that. Once they arrived at the suite he didn’t stick as close deciding to linger a little bit. Whoever lived in the suite had an interesting style one that he could appreciate for being different than most.
“Huh.” Was all he said to the small space that greeted him, it wasn’t very grand but that didn’t bother him too much. Lease he had some space for himself instead of sharing the communal space the undercroft offered. “So, now what?”
.
River hopped onto the built in window seat, making room for Ember to sit beside him so they could both look out the window. He watched for a moment before he spotted the wisp of the spirit he’d commanded moments ago begin to move towards one of the gazebos scattered along the grounds.
“Always befriend ghosts if you have the opportunity.” The reaper pointed out the small structure as a tiny flame seemed to spontaneously pop into existence then grew larger and larger until the entire thing was engulfed in a roaring blaze. He doubted it was even half as grand as phoenix fire but they were limited for now.
theprinceofwrath:
It was in these heated moments when the lines between him and River were blurred that made it impossible for their thoughts to not melt into each other. No matter how hard Syd tried to hide from his wife, there were still times when he couldn’t block out what he was truly thinking and he knew it went both ways. It was why Syd knew that River could feel how Syd’s chest swelled with pride at hearing just what his wife thought about him. Being thought of as a god wasn’t anything new to the ghoul since he believed he was one already, but knowing that his other half thought the same was nothing short of euphoric. If he was River’s god then Syd would gladly bless him with his hands. It was mesmerizing the way River’s body arched up when the knife was inserted inside him. They had fucked plenty of times in the thousands of years they had been together but Syd still couldn’t believe how beautiful his wife was. No one else could have this. This body was his and only his to do what he pleased with and that never failed to drive the ghoul crazy. Out of all the obsessions Syd had over the ages, no one else had captured his attention the way River did. Syd removed his hand from the knife to pull his shirt off, his tattooed chest now on full display before returning to fucking his wife. “Fuck!” He hissed through gritted teeth when River finally sank his teeth into his shoulder and shoved the knife even deeper inside of him. Unable to help himself, he leaned down to kiss River and licked into his mouth to taste his own blood. “That’s right, you’re my fucking property. You let someone else fuck you again and I’ll kill you,” Syd growled, wrapping his hands around River’s throat. “You want me inside you? Then work for it, whore. Fuck yourself with the knife.”
The harsh words might send anyone else packing but they only served to fan the flames of River’s lust, shooting fire straight to his cock which throbbed against his stomach. No one else could love him enough to care like this. It was only through Syd’s love, his obsession, that River had even begun to feel complete.
Beneath him now, with the trihybrid’s attention focused solely on him, River could fully believe that this was true love. His response was cut off by strong fingers closing in around his neck and the blonde reaper’s eyes dilated in the darkness to take in the view of his husband. He wasn’t going to last long like this but he doubted Syd would care either way. He could take his pleasure from River’s fucked out body past the point where he was overly sensitive and it was painful and the younger man would still beg him for more.
River reached down between them, gasping as his fingers found the blade first. Eventually his hand found enough of the hilt so he could hold on, paying no mind to the bleeding cuts that made the knife slippery in his grasp. Moving his hips down to force more of the handle inside of him was causing an almost painful friction on the sensitive head of his cock as it rubbed against Syd’s jeans. After a few thrusts right against his prostate River released between them, red lips open in a choked off cry.
