Clay only grinned in response, content in what Desmond confessed to him but deciding against explaining his own. That would ruin the pleasantries, now wouldn’t it? Instead, he tapped on his chin as he looked out on his Island.
"It’s not much, is it?" He asked, glancing over at the other. "I mean, it was enough when it was just me. But now it’s us two. Walk with me." With a tip of his head, he beckoned Desmond to follow him. Striding at a slow pace to allow the other to keep up with him, Clay made his way across the beach.
"Yeah, it's pretty small..." Desmond gave a small shrug of his shoulders as he looked around them, his arms slowly crossing over his chest as he took in the familiar surroundings for the first time in a long time. He doesn't follow after for a few seconds, but eventually does. "It's actually still kind of surprising that this place is so small. I half expected at least the second time around it'd be...bigger." He walks a bit faster until he's moving past Clay a bit, almost bumping shoulders with him as he did.
