But true.
"Don't be so down, we have the lovely ball coming up."
Everything sucks. Royally.
"Not very positive."
You wanted to meet?
Brianna walked into the dimly lit restaurant with her head held high to see the table that had been requested under her name. Raising her eyebrows slightly at the familiar face, she slid into the chair that was held out for her. Pursing her lips some, she gazed at the person across from her.
"I didn't expect to get a call from you.."
White or red?
Allie? She wasn’t even in town when the news broke out.. Are you positive, Brianna?
Red.
So she said. I saw Evelyn before that and I could smell the human girl, Mackenzie from a mile away. I know it was her, what other blonde would be going to her new husband's house?
What do you want?
"What do you mean bad blood?" she tilted her head then nodded, "Yeah, I heard it was Malcom, but that he’s back to life now. So I suppose that solves that." She looked at Brianna for a moment. "That’s right, you’ve been here for a long time, right? Were you here when the whole thing started?" She nodded, "Yeah, sometimes it can be easier to be alone, but just call me and I’ll come help you fix up your apartment."
"They had a bit of an argument and the witch was out to get him, from what I've heard. " Folding her arms gently, she leaned back in her chair. "It does, but it comes at a price." Nodding, she sighed quietly. "I have, I've been around since the two came into power." Frowning some, Brianna nodded once again. "It can be, but it gets lonely; especially when you've been around as long as I have. Of course, I will."
Then you only get half a grand.
Who is it?
I prefer wine, dear.
I suspect Allison White, I was speaking to her about the matter and she seemed to defend the person who started the fire and lied directly to my face where she was the night it happened. No one heart races when they talk about going on a vacation, absolutely no ones.
What do you want?
"It was nice, yeah," she answered sort of vaguely. "I did hear about the wolf. His name’s Malcom, right? Do you know if there’s actually a reason these attacks are happening or are they just happening?" She was still trying to figure out what had made the change in the frequency and seriousness of the attacks. "Well if you ever need a hand with the apartment, I’d be glad to come over and help. I guess a house for 6 really is too big for one person."
Nodding, she tapped her red nails against the table top. "Mhmm, A Lyall. I've heard that him and the young witch that killed him had bad blood, but that's no reason to kill. It's the start of the war that's been brewing for years." These attacks were reckless, something that Brianna hasn't even seen in her time; most attacks were planned and executed exactly as they were planned. Smiling softly, she nodded again. "I'll be sure to let you know, I'm thinking something smaller; just a bit. Maybe if I had a partner I would be alright but I prefer to roam alone."
Yes?
Sounds like an honorable job, I appreciate, I’m assuming the right thing to do will telling that if you ever need anything help let me know.
It can be. Don't worry about it, my alliance is set with myself; I don't out anyone unless there's a reason. I'll know where to go if I need it.
Alright. I’ll give two grand to the first person who can tell me who the fuck lit that house on fire.
"I have my suspensions."
Yes?
I don’t feel like letting people know who I am, and giving them a reason to put me and my name in a drama I don’t feel like been a part of, we all have our own wars and I’m not sure I want to be a part of one. So insignificant is the way to be.
I'm one of the oldest vampires known to man, why would I want to be involved in a war either? I give my insight and wisdom to those on this island that needs it but other than that I mind my own business. Your secret is safe with me, Mr. Araya.
Tiffany followed the vampire and tried her best to hide how surprised she was that Brianna didn’t say anything harsh like Alyssa. Tiffany was so used to this sort of reaction, that it felt weird to find someone polite. ”Well… at least once a day and I can’t stop until I feel I’m satiated. Which seems like I never am.”
Settling into the chair, she crossed her legs as Tiffany started to talk. Nodding, she understood why the girl never felt that feeling of satisfaction. "From what I've seen, humans who are changed willingly will only drink human blood. They like that feeling of feeling someone else's life inside of them but they don't need to feed nearly as much as you are. But, those who are forced or.. attacked.. seem to need to feed more and more to fill that hole that they lost with their humanity. Correct me if I'm wrong but I assume you were forced or blind sided by another vampire."
What do you want?
"Europe. Several major cities in Europe." She didn’t bother to mention that it wasn’t so much her wings that took her but her drive to find a certain hunter instead. "Really?" she sighed, "I have definitely been away too long. I’ll have to stay here a while and try to help out." She looked up at the vampire, "Done any apartment hunting yet? Although, if I were you, I might like having all that space to myself."
"Sounds lovely." Brianna said, her curiosity building as she wondered what would draw the girl there but she kept it under wraps. "Mhm, a wolf was killed only a few weeks then brought back to life." Nodding some, she sighed along with her. "You have. I've been saying the same thing but it seems like the Trinity are having a tough time controlling the madness." Nodding once, she pursed her lips. "Just one, it's a little run down but I want to make it my own. My house is fit for a six person family, I don't even have a dog."
Yes?
Probably would say I’m impress, but I’m sure you have had enough to travel around the world more than one time. I hope that now that you know exactly where I come from you will forget about it and think of me as just another insignificant citizen of this island.
And I have enough times to do it plenty more times Trust me, I don't judge someone by who they are and where they come from. Any reason you want to stay insignificant?
Yes, there is. I’m not sure if you know who I am, in that case I’m Tiffany. And I’m here because I’m still trying to control my hunger and since you have been a vampire for a long time maybe you could give me some tips? And what’s like feeding from animals?
" Tiffany Robles, yes I'm familiar with the vampires on the island. I see, we'll come; let's sit down." Brianna motioned her to follow, moving her way into the dark living room. Sitting back down in her love seat, she moved the wine glass in the middle of the table. "How many times do you feed in a matter of five days?"
Who's there?
No I don’t. I need to talk to Sydney…and uh-thanks, I guess.
You're welcome.
What do you want?
"Yeah, been out of town for a while," she said honestly, "Or course coming back to this has been a bit of a wake up call. I shouldn’t go off so much with a war brewing. Other than that, though," she gave a little smile as her mind wandered to the most recent development in her life, "Yeah. Getting settled has been surprisingly good."
"Where did your wings take you?" Brianna asked curiously. She always loved hearing peoples stories from them traveling. "This hasn't been the only thing that has been stirred up, there was much before this little pyro act." Shaking her head then, she sighed contently. "That's good, I'm contemplating moving from my house into this little apartment near my store; too big for one person."
Yes?
He stood still looking at her " I decided it was time to see what the big deal about this part of the world was. For someone your age you sure have a great memory"
Smiling lightly, she motioned to the opposite stool for him to sit down. "I was like that once, I've been to more countries than I can count in my time. I can still remember what I was wearing on my tenth birthday, it's clear as day."
