They sat there, inches away though it felt like miles. “It wasn’t you.” He turned, looking for her eyes that were looking elsewhere. His hand reached for hers, stopping just short of touching. “You don’t have to apologize.” It got to him how guilty she felt for something she couldn’t control, that was just the person she was. It genuinely scared him how much he loved her and everything she did. He drew his hand back, rubbing it through his hair. “I, uh… I fucked up, Cassandra.” The words a broken whisper.

Jace's words confused her. He fucked up? She had been the one that hurt him, gotten him in the middle of a stupid love quadrangle that she couldn't control. The look of hurt and betrayal plagued her mind even with her eyes opened. "J-Jace.. I hurt you.." That was half true, but she wasn't sure how to explain.. "She hurt you, the witch who took my body." Cassandra hoped he would understand what she was about to tell him. "If anyone fucked up with was me."

"If James is possessed but Gerald and you have his lover…do you think Doreen might be in someone?" she was silent for a moment. This was all a lot to process. "So…what happened after this weird fight with James? I’m sure Gerald appeared before you. Do you remember what happened?"

The thought of Doreen living in someone else on the Island was a can of worms Cassandra was not going to get into, but Adina had a point and if she was right, they were all screwed. "I don't know," Cassandra asked her honestly. "Well I... Samhain.. I think she possessed me and she found Gerald.. who was James.. and uh.. Adina they had sex. In a fucking crypt." She winced, waiting for the reaction and down a double shot.
