Could you give some advices to people who aren't native English speakers to improve their rping skills?

Not going lie, this ask caught me off guard. I’m also going to say that I’m a native English speaker, so my advice might not be as good as it would be from people who don’t speak/write English as a first language, but I’ll give some advice on basic roleplaying skills:

As I was told, by various teachers for literature and even authors; show don’t tell. So, express with words what your muse is feeling with emotions, and just build from there. I was also told by a few partners of mine to do this, and it really did help. That’s pretty much all I can say??? Seeing as I speak English and such.

@shcklesofsin and @i-ced are two people I know who don’t speak English as a first language. Also, there’s bound to be others but these two beans are the first that come to mind for me. Sorry in advance, anon!

          IT WAS LATE. The moon hung above the SLEEPING world, casting its protection of LIGHT down to winding streets and EMPTY forests. Most people were to be RESTING at this time, allowing body and mind to find peace after a day under the WARMTH of the sun. For most the time to CEASE work had come to the end with a CERTAIN time or the setting for the sun. This was not for Seremela; her ‘work’ was ALWAYS constant and demanding both PHYSICALLY and mentally. Weariness ran through ancient bones, the DESIRE to find rest present as shadows under her eyes. She would have RETURNED to the peace of her own, temporary, apartment, but it had been too far from her aching feet. Luckily enough, a CERTAIN inked flower lived nearby and seemed to be at ease with Seremela’s PRESENCE.

          SO, HERE SHE was, creeping along floorboards in HOPES of keeping her sleeping author in dreamland. A GENTLE smile would form to her lips, fingertips TRACING along the cheek of the RESTING woman, only before Seremela would SWIFTLY move under the blankets. Arms would wrap themselves around the SHORTER woman, bringing her close to her own form as eyelids would FLUTER to a close while lips would GRACE Ashley’s shoulder.

She’s weaving through trees and trying not to trip over her own feet when she hears the groans of the dead, but doesn’t think MUCH of it and keeps moving. It’s not long before Missandei finds the source of the noise, and she’s about to just sneak past them, but in the midst of the rabble is a living person. She knows this could prove DANGEROUS, but there’s no way she can just pretend she sees nothing and let someone die. It’s just as bad as killing someone herself. So Missandei slips her KNIFE out and moves towards them, taking down as many of the dead as she can. Eventually, they’re all dealt with and she’s left panting, leaning over slightly as she regains her breath. “ You alright? It’s amazing how they can SNEAK up on you like that. “

          HOW STUPID IT was for Seremela to have been SIGHTED and targeted by a small bundle of the DEAD. Simple and small was the MISTAKE she had made, it had ONLY been a FAINT noise, but it was loud enough to draw the unwanted ATTENTION of the dead. Having taken down a few of the roamers with the knife she had, but there were enough to OVERPOWER her. Thankfully, another living being had come to her aid. She would PRAISE the gods for the helping hand. SLIGHT was the sigh that rolled over her lips, the EASE of relief DRENCHED in her breath, and she would tilt her head to the other. So, this woman was her saviour? 

❝ — Thank you for that, and yes. I believe I’m alright. They do like to sneak up on you, which only makes this world more like a jump scare than anything else. ❞
