One of the reasons why I haven't posted in so long is that my signature ReShade preset, which I'd been using since 2021, broke after FFXIV received a graphics update, but now I've managed to get it back in shape; oh, and here's my new Gothic build!
I had an idea for a new build for a good while, but then life decided to start throwing things at me, so I never got to finish it. Here's what I managed to put together!
Inspired by the prevalence of Arabic culture in my day-to-day life, my FC room is now all about the enchanting colours of an Arabian sunset. Open for visitors on Zodiark, Shirogane, 1st Ward, Plot 7, Room 22!
This build is an homage to the Arabs of my life, one of whom has become a second father to me throughout the course of my adulthood, and who continue to inspire me with their resilience despite the challenges and discrimination they often face in Europe.
I've been wanting to do Arabic or Middle Eastern style for quite some time and finally got around to it. It's going to be my FC room, so expect no more than 100 slots!
Happy Pride Month my friends far and wide! I finally came up with a concept easy enough to be replicated by anyone, so don’t hesitate to show off your colours and spread more positivity by having this round Pride flag design on your wall! To make this Pride flag design in your house, you simply need a Hingan Windowed Partition and some White Rectangular Partitions, which are layered slightly in front of each other, then dyed accordingly. I can help you figure out the right dyes for each flag design!
I was hoping to come up with something else than a flag design this year, but then I realised I wanted to make something that even a relatively new player could afford, that would also not require too much glitching, and that could be replicated in apartments.

Purple is such an underused dye and no wonder, because the selection of purples in this game is so limited! It's also my favourite colour, so I'd personally love to have more purples.

My enthusiasm for building a luxurious summer resort in a former colonial setting seems, for once, to align with the coming hot season. My influences are many, so we’ll see if I manage to come up with a whole concept.
Remember this custom chandelier from years ago? I don't know who came up with it first, but the new Hannish Table Lamps are the perfect upgrade for it. I'm somehow reminded of The Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson.
Apart from being a German art school, Bauhaus are also one of the harbingers of gothic rock music. Seeing the logo will never not have "Bela Lugosi's Dead" playing in my head.

I made a colonial bungalow inspired by the luxurious Indochine style of places like the Raffles Hotel in Singapore or Luang Prabang in Laos. I was also greatly inspired by Felixandre, a Sims 4 builder and custom content creator who shares a similar appreciation for traditional styles.
